As for MK, they've been trying to get that off the ground since the group of filmmakers created the Legacy trailer to use as a proof of concept for the film

They already got a series of shorts done based on this, season 3 I believe is in the works.
A real mixed bag, could have been SO much more

Yeah I watched the first season. They were nice little character pieces, but not much else.

Their initial goal was for a film, and that's probably still the case but they ended up compromising.

Such a shame, because the tone of the original short is more in line with what MK was.

not sure if it's in the IMDB list posted earlier, but The Rock is also in a remake of Big Trouble in Little China

Might be in the minority here, but a remake of Major League may be OK. Get Nic Offerman to play the craggy old manager.

A remake of Stephen King's It is being filmed right now.

Bill Skarsgard from Hemlock Grove is Pennywise. He also has a remarkable resemblance to Tim Curry, the original Pennywise, but Bill is much taller. He's so tall he could play slenderman easily.

Hope and pray it's good ... Tim Curry was brilliant as the original pennywise. Bill has big shoes to fill <--- get it ? Clown shoes lol. Ok I'll shut up now.

I don't have high hopes. Cary f**kunaga from True Detective was attached to direct it as two films but he left over creative differences, here's what he said:

"In the first movie, what I was trying to do was an elevated horror film with actual characters. They didn’t want any characters. They wanted archetypes and scares. I wrote the script. They wanted me to make a much more inoffensive, conventional script. But I don’t think you can do proper Stephen King and make it inoffensive."

Seems like he wanted to make it faithful to the spirit of the book and they just wanted to pump out a slasher.

Anyone who's read IT will agree that the 80's movie was f**king awful. Huge book that would need a good 1 season series like 11/22/63 which was pretty great.

I forgot to mention they are splitting it up into two movies. The first is when they were kids, the second when adults.

So they aren't doing two movies now ? I dont like hearing that the director left over "creative" differences. Thats never a good sign.

IT was a great read and definaetly would prefer a 10 episode series. The 90's movie was terrible but still like to watch it now and then. Tim Curry was excellent but so much more potential in a good adaptation.

Couldn't agree more.
One of my favourite books, but the old TV miniseries is pretty crap (apart from Curry as Pennywise).
I was scared shitless when I first saw it as a 10-year old though.
