"Papillon" and "Banco" by Henri Charriere. Brilliant.

Not quite given justice by the movie imo (although the movie was still good).

"Caged" by David J Landau is also a great read.

Yeah I've read them both as well, the movie only tells half the story that the book does.

Another good read but you'll need some time ( I spent 10 days on nusa lembongan surfing and reading this) .
Long walk to freedom - Nelson Mandelas story.

If Quinns fell to the TURK they would rush down Monash Valley and kick us into the sea, so it had to be held at all costs. And they held it !!! Good read !!!

My ol' grandaddy was at Quinns...I have a photo that he took of some of his buddies in the trench all of which were KIA during the war. It might be worth a read
