Haven't updated this in a while...

Looking good on the signings front so far, looks like Pedro Leon is gone, and I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few other players are gone too.

Waiting for the next signing.....still holding out a bit of hope that we get Sergio Aguero but I'm not expecting anything.

I read the Huigan was leaving as well

I thought it was Benzema who is leaving? I saw an article this morning with quotes from Higuain saying he is staying.....
I'd only consider losing both Benzema and Higuain if we get Aguero and another decent striker.

Your joking....
I'd rather keep Higuian and Benzema but that would certainly make every other Madridista smile......

Hopefully it happens, I guess we will see. You know more than me about the team I support haha.

You lost 8-3 or whatever it was.
But honestly, who cares? It's a bloody charity match FFS.

Good pre-season so far, some even went so far as to call it the perfect pre-season. I wouldn't say that at all but it's nice to know there aren't any major injury concerns.
Kaka could be off to the Bridge if Chelsea give up on Modric, Real *apparently* are trying to offload him.
Makes sense considering I doubt he would start in our First XI, despite still being a better player than Ozil at the moment.
Not much news on the signing front, our coach finally has some sense and has sent Canales out on loan, Benzema might be off but that's been around for a while.

You can never know with this club. It makes more sense to keep Benzema than blow out on a Tevez or an Adebayor. Hopefully that's the case but I won't hold my breath. We only need three very good strikers in the squad, considering we play a 4-2-3-1 more than anything else. I'm happy with where Joselu is, he will definitely push for a regular spot this year.

I didn't say they were keeping him, just said he wasn't for sale.

Well.....if we don't keep him and splurge on someone else I'll be more than annoyed. We don't need another striker of that quality.

I didn't see the tackle but it must have been pretty bad. It's disgusting from both teams to be getting involved in these 'brawls', FFS just play the game and stop acting like children.
I think we accounted ourselves well though, it is just pre-season but I think we are looking a lot better this year. If we had of finished our chances in the fist leg we might have lifted the trophy.
Ozil, Ronaldo and Benzema are on fire at the moment. Di Maria needs to have his head pulled in.

Here is my report from the first game;
Ozil is awesome, bar a few touches he was the most classy and effective player on the field.
Coentrao was surprisingly good in the central- midfield, he worked very hard and was hugely energetic, he went missing at times but I was very impressed.
Ronaldo was playing less selfishly, he still took a lot of shots from outside the box but no one minds as long as he keeps scoring goals.
Di Maria was the only player that had a 'bad' game, everyone else was good.
Realistically we should have had at least two more goals, but this is a much better start than we had last season.

Nani has Ronaldo covered for selfish at the moment. Ronaldo can probably better last year's effort in terms of goals scored I think.

Stayed up to watch the game, 4-1 is not a true reflection of how well Betis pushed/pressured us. They were dominant throughout periods of the match, especially early on.
Thankfully, we had Higs :D
Three consecutive hat-tricks for club and country! We will see if he gets his fourth overall and third league-based consecutively against Malaga, but that is much easier said than done. Malaga ware no pushovers, especially at home.
