Here here to that. I watch TV to get away from reality. So reality TV defeats the purpose of it.

I have different methods to get away from reality, lol, i just watch TV coz it beats the f*ck outta not watchin it.

True, but its still an interesting watch, same as forreign correspondent, some of the stuff on it is terrible and quite sad but you can't help yourself from watching it.

reserrecting this thread because its now a situation where the number of shows I watch each week I can now count on my hands. And now that Underbelly and the IPL have finished up it's probably less.

I normally hate reality tv, but I did enjoy the Ladette To Lady series. Plenty of boobies and tbh it was very touching at the end.

I often find Reality TV shows hilarious for the wrong reasons.

Take MTV Reality TV shows for example. I love how obviously staged it is, from some of the horrible one liners to the obviously staged drama's that are horribly over-exagerated.

To VH1's take on the bachelor genre. So many women just whoring themselves out for our "entertainment". New York while a stain on society, is hilarious.

Then you have Big Brother, often zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, sometimes unintentionally hilarious though.

While you have those shows, there tend to be some decent shows that appear along the way. Take for instance the Contender, the Apprentice and the Amazing Race.

So in saying, while Reality TV Shows generally are sh*t, some are fairly decent.

lol...MTV make some pretty horrid ones imo. Laguna Beach, The Hills, ect...All of them are staged up to the sh*thouse. I find them to be fairly addictive though...

Depends on the particular show the only two I can ever claim to have really liked are the Amazing Race and Survivor.

Although I do admit back when i was bludging uni student I used to watch the real world on MTV
