I have been struggling to find any new music the last couple of months so I thought someone here might have some good recommendations.

I am interested in something heavy and open to trying different styles, preferably newest bands.

Currently I'm into Dark Tranquillity, Be'lakor, Orpheus Omega, As I lay Dying (just read about the lead singer arrested for solicitation for murder!), Cog, Butterfly effect, Dissona, Eluveltie, Mastodon, Ominium Gatherum among others

I'll just recommend my favourite Kiwi bands in last coupla years : Decortica & Cairo Knife Fight (though not sure if CKF are even a thing at the moment).

Both amazing live.

Also I saw Japanese dirty greaser punk noise rock band Guitar Wolf the other week when they hit Wellington, they're a bloody entertaining live act too even though I don't think I'll be buying their albumd anytime soon.
