Forgot to mention who he was cockrash.
Music writer for the Sydney Morning Herald - seen a lot more music than you have, has a great knack of getting music reviews right.

When one of the highlights quoted is one of the WORST songs they have ever written (Hump De Bump) then your defence is shattered...

By far the best live band to have come through australia!

Never mind the fact that Australia produced some of the best live bands ever....

The Oils
Chisel
Hunters and Collectors
etc etc etc

I noticed you've said would've been. That obviously means that your sorry pimple ass wasn't lucky enough to see the Red Hots play live. Some 40 year olds? Forgot to mention the fact that they are the biggest band around at the moment and likely the best musicians. hey look i don't wanna compare the 3 bands you've named to the Chili Peppers because that would be impossible. The peppers are in a much higher league than those 3 although Frenzal are funny f**kers. I think you should start listening to some real music my friend because you obviously have no musical knowledge whatsoever.
Pffffffffffffffffffffft, the quality of musicianship makes little difference to how good music is. You can be some of the best musicians around and write sh*thouse sh*thouse music (eg alot of metal and hardcore bands around). You can be average musicians and write some brilliant tunes (eg Bad Religion, one of the best punk rock bands around). Or you can be average musicians and write average songs such as the chilli peppers.

Now when it comes to my musical knowledge thanks for the advice, but i actually consider most of the stuff i listen to (alot of the punk rock) alot more passionate than anything the RHCP released, making it much more real in a musical sense as its not sh*t thrown together, its actually good high energy fast tunes. As opposed to the mud that the RHCP drag people through.

Are RHCP in a higher league simply because they have sold more albums and are bigger? Thats stupid, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne etc have sold more albums and are bigger than the bands i listen to, does that make them in a higher league in the music sense?

Oh god no

Hump De Bump is probably the worst song of this year imo.

Oh and I've seen some shows this year that would no doubt have blown RHCP out of the water. Wilco at the Enmore, The Mars Volta at the Horden, Muse, You Am I, The Herd.

Yes but ideally you get excellent musicians writing excellent songs ... like a lot of metal bands.

I'm not overly interested in listening to average musicians for the most part.

Im not into good musicians wanking along.

The thing that puts me off most metal tho is the vocals, f**king screaming bullsh*t. Give me Metallica or Iron Maiden over all other metal.

WHAT A WANKER!!!!!!!!!!!!

How dare you call the peppers average mucisians?

Flea, along with Les Claypool, is the best bass player around. John Fruscainte, well you have to listen to his solo work before you can call him an average musician you twat. His solo work is, in my opinion, the most passionate, pure and sincere music ever created. Anthony Kiedis, is there a better front man in the rock world today? And Chad Smith, well he's a solid drummer much influenced by John Boham.

So my friend go and listen to your punk rock, hahaha punk rock is pussy sh*t these days compared to what it used to be. Bad Religion? Bwaahahahahah  . I think you just buried yourself 6000 feet under.

Yeh i have to admit hump de bump is my least favourite single. But you should've seen the drum solo they did at the concers. All of them got on the drums and started doing that tricky drum interval. It was insane!

Bad Religion is an excellent band, probly the best lyrics i have heard from a band and superb music also
Likewise most other bands i listen to.

Now for some bands i listen to i'd say El Hefe of NOFX is just as good a musician as fruciente - can play most brass instruments along with excellent guitar work and very good vocal ability.
Ever listened to dropkick murphys? Now that is musicianship, combining various elements of irish folk and punk rock to an excellent blend.
Ever heard propaghandi? Strung Out? Better guitarists than fruciante once again.

And i prefer the older punk rock of stiff little fingers, dead kennedys, black flag, minor threat, desendents etc, along with my favourite bands which are the ones i mentioned above. I'm not into alot of the sh*t that pretends to be punk(ego emo, hardcore, screamo all that rubbish).

Fruciante is probly the most over rated musician around tho. No coincidence that the Peppers started to suck as the focus moved away from Flea to John.

Fat Mike is a much better frontman than Anthony. If you want more 'bigtime' frontment then Hetfield is better, better singer also (especially in his heyday).
Chad Smith does what he does well but he is an average drummer

f**k ay. You dare to compare those piece of sh*t bands with the Peppers? NOFX are cool but musically they are nowhere near fruisciante's great ability. Dude I don't know, give me your address and i'll post you all of his solo work just so you'll see for yourself. believe me you won't regret it. It's pointless to argue in this way cos we'll be here naming bands and musicians for the rest of our lifes. I think it is ridiculous to say that the propaghandi guitarist is anywere near as good as fruisciante. Serious, come on, dude you have to be kidding.

I bet Higher ground stood out like dogs balls at each of their shows, thats if they played it, their best song that is, written by stevie wonder.

How the f**k can you sit there listening to two hours( do they play for that long? Heard they can only stomach just over an hour) of f**king elevator music.

Chilli peppers are one of the most overated bands going around. Still if people are stupid enough.......

Yeah, that's why they were punk in the first place. Look at the Ramones for example, Johnny Rammone is an original guitarist but a 2 year old could learn his songs within minutes. A band like the peppers for example have deep roots of punk rock. However thanks to flea's funk background and John's unbelivabe guitar skills their music is so much more than just punk/funk. Out of this world!
