I bet Higher ground stood out like dogs balls at each of their shows, thats if they played it, their best song that is, written by stevie wonder.

How the f**k can you sit there listening to two hours( do they play for that long? Heard they can only stomach just over an hour) of f**king elevator music.

Chilli peppers are one of the most overated bands going around. Still if people are stupid enough.......

Yes, Higher Ground was f**king crazy! They played it during the encore. I was in the front moshpit too!!!!!!!!! But they played much of their older stuff too. It really should be everyone's dream to get in the chilli moshpit. here's a playlist of the show i went to:

You sir are an absolute dick!

Flea is no where near the best bass player in the world, your on drugs if you think he is. He has the highest profile, but in terms of technical ability his NO WHERE near. You seem easily impressed, if all its takes is simple slap patterns for you to declare him the greatest.

You want great bass players look at pastorius, wooten, sheehan.

I recently saw the hump de bump film clip, f**king try hards.

Dude, most punk bands have average musicians.
Oh no doubt about that, but the example i gave of some excellent musicians who play punk rock stand. Not all of them are crap:D

Don't get me wrong, I do like punk, but not really the modern breed. Bands like The Saints, Black Flag, The Hives, At The Drive-In are amongst my favourite.

Black Flag are awesome, havent heard anough of at the drive in or the saints bu like what i've heard. At The Drive In were infinitly better than Mars Volta or Sparta are. I dont like the Hives at all eh.

The more modern sounding punk i spose im into is NOFX(if that counts, they are just awesome tho), strung out pennywise and occasionally guttermouth, dont know what you'd class Bad Religion is, altho they are pretty much the best band going around currently.

Good to see that RHCPs didn't just suck in Auckland.

A lot of people that i used to respect were at the show(s) and talked about how crap they were....perhaps i still respect them after all.....

Surely the most overrated band evah. And i think Nirvana are rubbish.

My mates went to the RHCP concert more out of curiosity, and they reckon that John Frushe was absolutely pathetic. Apparenetly he was way out of tune and he f**ked up the guitar on a couple of songs.

To be fair though i heard that Flea was vry good and Anthony was very energetic

eg Matt Freeman is a better bassist than flea, and lex frenzal(when he was in the band) was superb. Not too mention the likes of les claypool, wooton, or even cliff burton from the playing we heard of him before his untimely death

Absolutely! his music appealed to the majority not the minority.

Good point... Still, i personally wouldnt class it as pop, but each to their own.
