Still long way to go and obviously who they get in the spine will dictate if they finish mid table or bottom 4. Starting pack looks ok as long as they stay on the field. They could be facing a big longer term issue though of having to pay overs for whoever they do get for the spine given the market is now very narrow.

The best spine that is available for next year would probably be:
1. M'bye
6. Milford
7. Lam
9. Turpin

but hardly world class spine.

M'bye and Milford are in the discussion for players that earned lucrative deals and did nothing but phone it in. M'bye more so than Milford, given Milford went close to winning a GF.

Turpin is Andrew McCullough v2.0, no creativity from dummy half but will make 50 tackles a game.
