Be interesting to see if the Union convert Te Whare gets a starting centre spot. He had a good year in QRL by all accounts.

They’ll probably ease him in but he looks very promising.

Good for the kiwis too considering their lack of depth in the centres.

No way Brenko Lee will be starting, if he is they are going to struggle. Jennings, Gildart and even Te Whare are better options. Tesi Niu will be in the Centres and the Hammer will be Fullback. Issako will more than likely be a Winger.

Lemuelu was a reserve grader at the Cowboys and converted to the second row from the centres. Tabuai-Fidow played the bulk of 2022 from the bench.

I reckon their best signing is Gilbert. Yes I'm biased as I'm a Cowboys fan, but Dolphins will get far more out of Gilbert over the next 5 years than they will from the old codgers on their list.

I agree. The people naming Gilbert on the bench are nuts. He's one of the first players picked in that pack

Problem is your not going to drop two starting rep players for him I wouldnt have thought? Is he really better than the Storm bookends Bromwich and Kaufusi?

On the squad, by my list which I think is still accurate Dolphins only have 2 top 30 spots left and 2 development places. Allegedly they are $2mill under the cap. Probably too late to find a $1mill star player now so will everyone get a nice bonus I wonder?

Top 30 Squad:

1. Tabuai-Fidow (1st grade Cowboys) FB
2. Isaako (1st grade Broncos) Wing
3. B Lee (reserve grade Broncos) Centre
4. Aitken (1st grade Warriors) Centre
5. R Jennings (reserve grade Panthers) Wing
6. Milford (1st grade knights) HB
7. O’Sullivan (reserve grade Panthers ) HB
8. J Bromwich (1st grade Storm) Prop
9. Marshall-King (1st grade Bulldogs) Hooker
10. Nicholls (1st grade Souths) Prop
11. Kaufusi (1st grade Storm) 2nd row
12. K Bromwich (1st grade Storm) 2nd row
13. Stone (1st grade Eels) lock
14. Gilbert (1st grade Cowboys) 2nd row
15. Connelly Lemuelu (1st grade Cowboys) 2nd row
16. K Nikorima (reserve grade Souths) hooker/utility
17. Wallace (1st grade titans) prop
18. Edrick Lee (1st grade Knights) Winger
19. Valynce Te Whare (centre -union)
20. Herman Ese'ese (1st grade Titans) Prop
21. Poasa Faamausili. (1st grade Dragons) Prop
22. Oliver Gildart (Reserve grade Tigers) Centre
23. Tesi Niu (1st Grade Broncos) Fullback
24. JJ Collins (Qlnd cup Tweeds Head) Prop
25. Mason Teague (SG Ball Panthers ) lock

Wait patiently for the first scandal of the season then swoop.
