Reddy and Galuvao....

Some big plays tonight but none bigger than the tackle on Sika Manu (when he comes off contract he'd be worth some big dollars) by Joe Galuvao (with help from Hayne and Mortimer). To get his arms underneath the ball and slow the play enough for others to get involved probably saved the game tonight.

As for Reddy, he was up against a player in Inglis whom many have struggled to contain. While Inglis was definitely not on his game 100% he still was well contained by Reddy who took away his time and space on many occassions.

Reddy in particular is defensiively very under rated....

Reddy's defence was awesome tonight, kept Inglis quiet all game. And that tackle by big Joe won us the game no doubt about it.

without putting a dampner on reddy's peformance because I thought he was terrific but inglis was definitely playing injured imo.

I have been very critical of Reddy in previous seasons - and rightly so - but he has been exceptional this year.

Good to see.

Credit to Timmy Mannah too who has really stepped up in 2009.

Reddy has been solid all season. Big joe was very good tonight, it is a shame he will not be with us next season.

i would also like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Todd Lowrie for his effort tonight and for the last few rounds. Yes he makes some mistakes, he is not the only one. I hope he keeps it up.

is it me or has tood picked up a bit of leg speed in the last few weeks, he's been hitting the line very hard lately...

oh! for the love of Hindy, don't pass the ball Tood...you've got nothing in that area.

Someone needs to remind Lowrie he's not a 5/8.

Some of his passing has been diabolical the past few weeks.

Other than that he's been solid.

Now if he could only throw the around the corner pass ala BK.....INU would have a field day.

I've noticed that too Stags and was only just thinking that today myself. I think his body has adjusted to the speed of first grade now and his movement has improved as a result.

yep - and when you consider the form of blokes like Horo and Oake in reserve grade you start to wonder why people are calling for Horo to come in ahead of him.

I have to agree, Horo has talent but will take time to adapt and will only be a solid first grade player... I would happly take todd over Horo TBH

He would be a priority signing in my book. He is the perfect player to compliment Fui Fui in my opinion and ultimately take over from him when Fui finally either leaves us or retires. Would absolutely love to see him in the blue & gold.

Grothe came up with some big tackles too in the last minute, the first was to rush up to shut down the storm and the second was when he was still at marker and his wing was open. 2 very cruical tackles.

Most definitely however Inglis at 70-80% is still one of the better players in the game.

I reckon he may have even been less than that. He was clearly limping at times during the match. Not our problem though. In fact, I was delighted to see it.

On the Lowrie talk in this thread, I'd sign him up, dollars pending.

Only bad thing on Reddy, he missed Slater in a terrible effort, just hanging out an arm, when Slater went to centre at the end of the first half. He made a break, but luckily nothing came of it.
