Joel Reddy - Northcott Ambassador 2009
Pirtek Parramatta Eels winger Joel Reddy has signed on to be an Ambassador for Northcott Disability Services, one of the Eels chosen charities for 2009.
Reddy, the Eels top try scorer in 2008, says hes proud to be offered such an opportunity with one of western Sydneys longest serving and most respected charitable organisations.
Im very proud to be associated with Northcott Disability Services, Reddy said. Northcott are an organisation that plays a significant role for our community.
The continuous dedication and the services which they provide are essential for improving the quality of lives of people with disabilities, along with their families and carers.
Many people would not receive this specialised support if Northcott Disability Services ceased to exist, which emphases the real importance of this organisation.
Reddy joins the likes of renowned TV Journalist Mike Munro and Beijing Paralympic bronze medal winning cyclist Jayme Paris by becoming an Ambassador for Northcott Disability Services.
Northcott Disability Services was established as the NSW Society for crippled children in 1929 by the Rotary Club of Sydney in response to the growing number of children left with the effects of Polio and other debilitating illnesses.
Today, Northcott provides support and services to more than 6000 individuals and families across NSW and the ACT.
Northcott provides over 70 services across a broad range of disabilities including physical, intellectual, as well as sensory problems.
