You've hooked a doosie there Pops

Not sure what to do with him, he's certainly no intellectual threat and this is a special year to show Germanic people we don't bear a grudge, can't treat him like a persona non grata if he's genuine . . . although methinks he's a ring-in

Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character. I am mearly pointing out the fact that the memoirs of a retired fool can be made a little more entertaining by the presence of a genius.

If you want to play you first must understand the game. I designed this thread long ago to entice cyber bullies to try their hand against a retired soc, show people who just wanted to enjoy the forum how weak kneed the pricks are. Lack of intestinal fortitude by these wankers led to lack of participants which led to the thread being turned into a blog

It appears that some regular readers are seemingly happy enough to perservere with my pisstaking, a little seriousness, some storytelling and anything, usually outrageous, that will contribute to the longevity of the forum. You can either rekindle my nastiness, discuss Rugby League in a civil manner or simply go away, mosquito bites don't affect me . . . your choice

Could it be they just found your thread self-absorbed and/or mind numbingly tedious? There are plenty of other places to discuss rugby league. You don't appear an intellectual colossus to me.

I think you may be kidding yourself.

My bathroom mirror has never granted me the privilege of kidding myself but you are right about me not being an intellectual colossus. Wrong place to find one of those in a forum about carrying a ball 100 metres where the main conjecture is whether it touches the ground or not. No, I'm definitely not over qualified to comment on the process.

Does 'Slug' mean you are slow to comprehend, maybe hung like a donkey or just an antonym for the genius you may be. If you have finished pandering to what you say is my self absorption you can rate this thread and remove another star, then say no more and not contribute to the thread's longevity.

There's talk that Parramatta have found more money but can't spend it on the playing roster for next year, could be a blessing in disguise. Do they really need to buy any big money players is the real question, Sandow may suffice until a junior is nurtured to replace him and the rest of the team need only to be fit

Money could be well spent on the infrastructure that the top teams have to counteract injury disruption and it seems there is a need for extra coaching staff for teams to be competitive. Depends if Arthur is capable of turning a sow's ear into a silk purse but if he has what it takes to improve players there's no need for Parramatta supporters to be concerned

This first year under the new bloke must be considered a learning curve for supporters, hard with all that's happened in the joint over the years but crikey the vibes are good imo, patience with the roster and the coach is far more important than buying more players

The same applies to endless quotes not your own.

I'm yet to be convinced the German and the slug are not old faces with new names, pretending to be inexperienced but dumb enough to dive into muddy water head first. Neither seem willing to debate specifics which is identifiable of rednecks

Anyone familiar with the Australian Story episode on Wayne Bennett and his family can have no doubt as to his steadfastness, a quality way surpassing stubborness of simple men. Darius Boyd may not be consciously manipulating the great man but we all knew Wayne would never desert someone who needs him

There is not a rule saying depressed men who need a father figure can't play League, Bennett knows first hand by what happened to that wonderful bloke Peter Jackson. Either like the rest of us Bennett never knew of Peter's inner turmoil, which is most likely, or couldn't help him. The fact remains no-one wants to see Boyd suffer the same fate.

I consider Boyd a better player than Barba, mainly because he follows instructions, so it's no surprise if the bloke goes with Bennett to Brisbane. Imo Milford will not cut the mustard at fullback amongst the big boys and would be better used feeding tries to Boyd.

Anti Boyd histrionics are bullshit, talent alone would get him back in a Broncos jersey somewhere. Barba is not Bennett's responsibility even if he has some semblance of depression, but you never know, Wayne's soft spot for lost souls could answer Ben's hope to see Boyd in 2 or 5

A thread that continually points out the obvious about RL related matters should be left in your diary unless you consider yourself to be Rothfields apprentice columnist on LU? If it is the later I suggest you go into early retirement, if it is the former I suggest you keep your memoirs in the bottom draw beside the bed.

'A thread that continually points out the obvious about RL related matters' means you agree with everything I write. Although many people on here wouldn't agree I can hardly chastise you after that.

I'm flabbergasted, thank you for your kind words. Tell you what, I'm going to leave you my penis in my will, it's only ever been wet, yours must be looking pretty shitty by now

LOL! Could i have a penis now as mine is worn out? having one penis to play with may improve your intellect and the realisation that the forum is RL related and doesn't necessarily mean that its content is correct. Too Easy!

In the early 70's I came off night shift for a week and was given an apprentice by the name of Angus Young and told to teach him how to become a printer. Luke Keary not only looks like Angus but if you go to an ACDC concert you'll see the similarity in the way they don't know how to stop.

Jamie Lyon was destroyed by Keary in defence and Manly haven't faced a Souths like the one we saw tonight. Keary has taken the Rabbitohs to a whole new level, the confidence shown by the little bloke is infectious

The only thing scary about the Dogs these days are those f**king ugly middle eastern haircuts. Grubby Reynolds is as stupid as he looks so the hairdo suits him, maybe Des should go to the same barber if he refuses to see things in 3D. Looks as though Toovey in his yellow jacket was the coach of Manly all along

Even Barba with his Tinkerbell touches intimidated the Dogs. Des is going to lose his bearded 44 gallon drum to injury and his brain dead 5/8 to suspension so things aren't looking too rosy. If you read this forum Hook this is how you spell 'suck shit' in case Benny asks

If Melbourne had of won that game it would have been under false pretences and catastrophic, how could you go home celebrating a win the way they played. Penalty count didn't make them miss tackles and why Bellamy perserveres with Roberts is f**king beyond me. Everytime he touches the ball supporter sphincters must contract
