Hi guys. Remember me? The Manly fan who told you your team would turn it around in a smart fashion. At the time, you all thought I was geeing you up because of the terrible run you were having, but every point I said has come to fruition. Your team is doing what it does best now, and so too, unfortunately is mine. I'm gutted guys. That's 6 from 7 losses for us. :roll: Same old routine.

I dead set felt like tearing up this arvo.

Anyway guys - well done. It's great to see all the faithfull remain loyal. Can I ask just one thing?

Please o please take it easy on us in a few weeks.

I'm depressed. :(

Can't say I do remember you mate, but you have obviously gotten it spot on. I think most of us around here knew that we'd turn it around one day. Maybe you just got us when we were depressed...

AS for taking it easy on you blokes... you know that's not the Newcastle way! Kicking Manly while they are down is a city-wide sport around here...

I remember being one of the few who didn't immediately assume you were being an asshole. Sorry to see your mob losing so many (not a Manly fan, but I know a lot of them).

Crusade will be giving it to Terry Hill, he'll wanna jump the fence with the spray we'll be giving him.

No one says that kind of stuff to our Clint and gets away with it.

Yeah - How could ANY team with Johns, Buderus, Gidley 1, Gidley 2 etc, etc stay down for long.

I opennly admit...I am jealous. I forget what it was like to be in the winning circle!!!

The gidley brothers have hardly been there this year, we've got about a combined 12 games out of them.

Johsn and Buderus were never on the field for more then two games in a row until our Penrith break through, since then we've won 4 from 6.

Look out 2006, were the darkhorses for sure.

Dark Horse dude - You have to know that with a full compliment of players, you are one of the front runners. That's the way it is perceived from outsiders point of view anyway. To be considerred a darkhorse, you have to have had a very,very long, lean period ALA Manly, and be considerred a team that can't win ALA Manly.

Could I ask you guys a few hypothetical questions just for my own sake?

1. If I were to offer you Jason King, for any of your 1st choice props (including those on the bench) would you take him? Who would you swap him for?
2. If I were to say to you, would you like to swap Kurt Gidley for Michael Monaghan, what would you say?

Alot of people are tipping us for the bottom 3 placings again, full strength or no full strength. I think by about round 6 we will be one of the favourites for the comp. :)

1- Wouldn't want a bar of him, he's injury prone and like Jason Ryles is soft.

2- Yes i would swap him, Kidley is overated and has nothing going for him except defense. Monaghan is very gifted naturally and sh*ts on Kurt as far has attacking skills go.

As Dily has already indicated, Ryan did indeed start a thread about how the Knights just needed to hang in there.

But, in all fairness to all parties, I think it made sense that the Knights would start playing better (but perhaps not this well) once they had a few of their regulars back. At the time of that post we were still in the middle of an intense losing streak, and had an incredible amount of injuries.

What I think most of us thought was that they would get back to actually winning the odd game. Few will have predicted that they would knock over three top 5 teams, and come close to taking out a couple more.

Well, I'm looking forward to next week now.....NOT.

Jee Wizz you guys are killing it.

Could you all do me ONE little favour though (hopefully out of empathy)? Can you guys have a soft spot for The Sea Eagles tomorrow against The Broncos? We need all the support we can get!!

I'm just so totally gutted about our form at the moment. I almost feel like just throwing my arms up, and giving up!!

At least you guys see a light at the end of the tunnel. Everywhere I look at Manly is very, very dark!

Now we hear Matt Orford may be out for up to 12 months.
