1. Us 64, Newcastle 14.
2. Us 40, Merged Scum 24.

Thanks Ando, for two of the best times I've ever had standing up.

I wont post my sights as high as top 4. It will be difficult considering we came 3rd last in 03. So a top 8 would be unreal and anything else even better.

That's gotta be the best in terms of recruitment - buying a whole new divvy team. Previously, we had hacks like Stuart Pierce and a whole bunch of guys who were completely unknown like Hogan, Webb, Buchanan, Capelin, Ward and various others. Good riddance to them (although the persistence with Ando Jnr almost stuffed up that good work - Metro Cup players do not cut it in first grade)

That win against a full strength newie side was pure gold.

Ive never seen a cronulla side look so well oiled, it was just freakish. I'd go as far as saying that it would be close to being the best any NRL team has played in a game in the past decade. Newcastle are no mugs, and we destroyed them. Loved it.

Clearing out the divvy retirement village was a good move too. And giving plenty of young blokes a crack last season will be worth its weight in premiership points this season IMO. Close to all have had a taste of the NRL, and that can only make them hungrier to play.

I'll be happy with a finals showing.

As for Anderson's time as coach, I think he had his good and bad moments. Like many have mentioned, the removal of all the old hacks in first division was his best move.

Recruitment was good - although it was counteracted by poor retention of players for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, one of the things we thought we were saying goodbye to when we gave Johnny Lang a gently nudge out the door was the notion of 'favourites'. Anderson certainly had a few favourites and that was his major undoing in my opinion.

The eleven game winning sequence in 2002, after running close to last.

The 64-14 win was a highlight.

It's a shame all the good work was so dramatically undone in 2003. I can live without the continued dramas being aired in the media. Ando promised so much, bu in the end delivered very little.

The Knights played under par that day, I was there and for someone who watches the mighty red and blues week in, week out, it was easy to see they were playing far from mighty. Still, I'd rather follow the side with 2 Premierships in 16 years :)

Did the half come off for the divided comps or the stench of the +ve drug tests in the squad?

Gold boys, gold!

Whatever happened to the long-time Knights sponsor, Inject Airlines?

Oh, that's right. :D

They went the way of all unsuccessful, failing operations. :?:

They merged.
