in all honesty who cares???
I meen is Slater going to make more line breaks if the sponsor is off the jersey?
Will QLD Lose because AAMI is on there Jerseys?

The answer is NO, Does it matter what they have on there jerseys let them go out on the field with Thongs(the up your crack kind) for all i care as long as they play a fair 80 minuted of tuff rugby league then i am satisfied.

I was a bit annoyed when this first happened but then I thought, it really doesn't matter at all. Who cares if there is a company name on the front of the jersey? It is the same jersey after all, and more money coming in means more opportunites for the game. I don't want jerseys to be covered with about 1 million sponsors like some overseas soccer clubs are but I really don't mind the one major sponsor (and a sleeve sponsor).

Their sponsors buy naming rights to the stadiums, and get plenty of advertising during the games. It just works differently.

The difference being how many NRL clubs own their home ground? The Sharks are the only club, so the naming rights $$ to the stadiums go their trusts or owners (majority of stadia are government owned).

Unfortunately the prime space of advertising of team is on the chest of the jersey, the larger and bolder the ad the greater the awareness exposure, a small sleave logo is rarely caught on camera. I am sure Wizard/AAMI are pumping plenty of dollars into the respective teams and want the best possible return on their investment.

If its for the better of the game, let it go. We will live, and origin will continue to be the best sporting contest in the World. 25 years, equal wins, and only 3 points difference seperating the 2 teams. What a series!
