Fired up a N64 EMU last night and played some Mario Kart 64 with my 7 year old..

I reckon we had more fun on that than we do on most games out today!

Should probably fork out for the Wii version already. Or upgrade to WiiU :\

Also played some Tony Hawk 1 and f**k it brought back some memories.
Some stages in Mario Kart 64 = RAGE. The first round was my absolute favorite - Mario Racewaym Moo Moo Farm, Island and Desert - love that one.

The dreamcast was awesome. Sega just stuffed up with the Saturn. Shenmue and crazy taxi were crazy fun. I still hope they release another Shenmue game

My mate had a dreamcast when it first came out. Went round to watch Wrestlemania and Royal RUmble and then carved up on the dreamcast for hours on end.

We had nothing else hahahaha.

The problem is they break so easily. I've owned about 4 or 5 of them now and their durability is their only downfall. Great games though...

It's not technically retro in age, but I picked up Rogue Legacy on Steam for $2.99 and it's bloody addictive.

Platformer in which each death technically makes you more powerful as you use gold to upgrade your family fort and your child takes your place.

Addictive, but not always easy. Some truly brutal procedurally generated levels there.

Love platform games.

I think Retro games should become their own genre tbh... no longer something associated with only time.

I always play Sonic the hedgehog 2 , its always fun for some reason.
One of the greatest ever. Plenty of rings to collect, boss battles generally challenging (getting to them in some cases too), finding all secret chaos emeralds, and of course, the 2 alternate endings.

.

Worth it, we only got a wii for mario kart, no regrets. Online has been shut down though. Need a Wii U and Mario Kart 8 now like a sucker, which I am.

Going to upload Strider (SMS) and The Terminator (NES) videos shortly. Both were considered to be bad game unfortunately... but in my opinion, the critics seem to think that 8-bit consoles should do more than they're capable of most of the time.
