Love the way the game used to be played, the characters.

This day & age, it's too sanitised.

Saw old footage tonight of some chick on the field giving it to Hartley - shows why he got his nickname. Was all about him.

The good old days!

I loved the old days too mate.

Hartley was very amusing. Back in those days the referee came out first. Hartley would bound out, blowing his whistle and basically saying, "Look how good I am!"

These were the days of Hollywood, Rex Mossops faux pas and the day the set fell on him at the SCG.

Does anyone remember the Leagueathon at the SCG?
Manfred Moore the NFL player turning out for the Jets?
The usual 10 minute softening up period at the beginning of the game?
Scrums actually decided by striking for the ball?
Watching Steve Rogers weave his magic at Endeavour Field?

Ahhhhh, those were the days!

That's the problem with youse blokes in here. You always get the time or dates wrong.

It was a 20 minute softening up period. You got your monies worth back in the good old days. At around the 20 minute mark the ref would call in both Kappatans and give them the "that's enough fellahs"

Then it was game on for the next 50 minutes. Of course there was always the occasional scrum flare up (loved those by the way)

KENT !!!!!

STILL A BIG KENT

Aaah the olden days...when a player was known by his number not his name...if someone cheap shotted you the Ref would allow you a get square and a hooker wasn't just some chick in a short skirt standing on a street corner.....

What year did first grade change from 70 to 80 mins?
I only remember reserves and U23's being 70 mins
Is this why Flanno was confused that time?
Or should it have been a 50 to 51 minute game depending on whoever is counting?

I remember supporting a Club that was broke, with poor administration, recruited average players, only had a decent team when a boom crop of youngsters came through the grades and battled to even get close to spending the salary cap.

How things have changed today.

I prefer the modern day Cronulla Sharks.

I have a chuckle now when I see opposition supporters accusing us of rorting the salary cap.

Young Shark supporters today don't know how good they've got it.

Why are we having a Kokada Round?

Is there a reason that I don't know of or is it just another one of those you beaut special marketting rounds where the punters get another fantastic opportunity to fork out on another wow jersey.

All explained in the Rupert Daily today Mr. Quigs.

Apparently the Sharks are looking to do an Annual end of year bonding session there in the future.

They are trying to raise funds for people that live along the track.
