Where has it been written that we are losing Boyd or Scott to make way for Gasnier?

You use the word 'if' with some liberty. It's posts like yours that start nonsense rumours.

In Bennett I trust. Just concerned that there is no point in bringing a player in to fix a team that is already on top of the table

It hasnt, and it wont be. Gaz is not the reason why Boyd would leave. He's young, he's from QLD....he needed to get away from there for a while after losing his way a bit. Bennett has turned him into one of the best players in the NRL. The broncos will offer him HUGE dollars to return in 2012 and beyond. He will most likely return home to be with his grandmother.
Nothing to do with Gaz. We wont be able to afford him either way.

Thats the salary cap.

Maybe if you see Doust or gaz then you can offer them some advice.

In the mean time let Bennett worry about how they play ;-)

Maybe I might even offer Soward some advice on how to tackle? What do you think Jonesy? Should he go high or low?

Are you serious??? If we lost Boyd while paying Gaz 400-500 plus in 2012, Gaz would the main reason for it! And I would be extremely pissed about it, we have lost enough players over the years due to that bloke. I would rather Boyd any day over Gaz!

This fabrication that we stand to lose Boyd because of Gasnier is one of the dopiest things I've ever read on these forums.

The point is, to stay under the salary cap with Gasnier coming, we will need to shed players...who knows who will leave.

Why do we need Gaz if we're doing fine without him at the moment.

No. The point is, if people don't want Gasnier to sign, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion. Just be up front and say it.

But to start up bs rumours that we are losing Darius Boyd as payment is out of line imo.

We lose players every year. We know that some will be moving on next year. The crap is now every player that we let go will be Gasnier's fault. FMD, letting Priddis retire might be Gasnier's fault.

Fair question: if we get Josh Morris back in 2011, and let go a couple of players to make it happen, will the knives be out for him?

We should thank God we have a player as good as Soward and let Bennett and co worry about his tackling style

We need gas for the fact that saints came first last year but we fell short cause we didnt have the X factor.Come finals every team will put more defenders on our left side to combat us but if you have a player like gas on the right, they wont know what we are up to, we might even go through the middle

I don't want to have him sign up coz he's a traitor. And from what he is worth he is def gonna take a huge chunk out of the salary cap which means we will lose players, and at the moment we are on top of the table with our current squad playing out of their skins. Don't know anything about starting rumours about Boyd leaving due to Gaz coming. If it sounded like I said that I apologise...If you wanna go through my previous threads please feel free to do so...As for Josh, lets face it...he's gone...

Well with respect, your reasons are not based on logic.

Huge chunk = overreaction.

Of course. And the coach that has made it possible wants to sign Gasnier.

Your most recent comment on this, in this thread, is:

"If signing this lump means we lose quality players like Boyd, Scott etc. then this is a joke."

So I take it you are you retracting this statement?

Completely unsubstantiated. You have no idea what might be happening in a year from now.

HAHAHA I knew you would go through my previous posts...Oh and I forgot the most important part...He is overrated and def not worth the cash he wants.

and how does this quote "If signing this lump means we lose quality players like Boyd, Scott etc. then this is a joke." mean I am starting a rumour that Boyd is going to leave because of Gasnier?

Here is my logic. He played for us before. Did f**k all when it counted. Left us high and dry and now wants back in to a side that is sitting at the top of the table wthout him. Whats your logic?

No I didn't. I specifically referred to your post in this thread. A post I had already quoted.

The liberal use of the word 'if' might jog the memory.

Read again. Or have another drink. Your choice.

Mate, I think you're just arguing just for the sake of wanting to argue. Maybe you should turn the computer off for a bit and get some fresh air FMD rant all you want, I still don't know what you're on about.

lol. You just read back eh?

You're trying to save face now. Nice try.

I'll go easy on you and ask again:

"If signing this lump means we lose quality players like Boyd, Scott etc. then this is a joke."

Again...how does the above mean I am starting a rumour that sigining Gas means we're going to lose Boyd? and didn't I apologise for saying if it sounds like I am starting a rumour that Boyd is leaving because of Gasnier then I apologise?
What are you on about again?

There is no logic in your post at all. Nothing to back you up.

He agreed to a deal with the NRL and the Dragons. He met his end of the deal, the employers didn't pay him as agreed. Gasnier didn't renege, the NRL did.

Gasnier did not tell the club to release J Morris, he had nothing to do with it.

Now he wants to play for St George. But it has to be done right. Not like the last deal that was stuffed up before (not by Gasnier).

Gasnier wants to be back, the club wants him back, the coach wants him back, his team mates want him back... but R&WTILLIDIE doesn't want him back.

You work out the logic.

So I don't want him back coz I think he's overrated? in fact I'm the only St George supporter in the whole world who thinks he's overrated? He was injury prone, caught out in defence allot and never stood up when it mattered like the prelims in 05 and 06, left us like a thief in the night and now commands top dollar...and I'm being illogical?

He never left us 'like a thief in the night' R&WTILLIDIE. That's the hysterics talking.

The club has to make this decision and on the surface it looks about right to me.

By all reports, it's a done deal. So why push some vague negative agenda on something you know very little about?

The problem with Gasnier haters is that even if it goes through, they will still death ride the decision. That to me that makes no sense whatsover.
