Rhcp Greats - Stadium Arcadium

Many of the gods, goddesses, angels, demons and elementals of the univers have conspired to send messages from beyond through the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the current civilization. Now these messages have taken the materialized form of the most visually compelling, musically gratifying, explosive live performances our earth-bound souls are likely to experience.

Inspirational, influential and innovative, Red Hot Chili Peppers are the band that many others aspire to be. They have played with light, darkness, sound, silence, form, air and space to make music that plays with the listener, whilst simultaneously engaging and invigorating – promising more and always delivering.

Long heralded as one of the best live concert experiences one can have, these supreme Gods of Funk return to Australia after a 4 year absence to once again ignite the Antipodean fires of musical appreciation.

In a career spanning 20 years and nine albums, the Grammy award-winning, genre-defying RHCP have accumulated over 50 million album sales world-wide. Their most highly acclaimed output includes the multiplatinum releases Californication (1999) and Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), which gave the world classic tracks Breaking The Girl, Give It Away, and Under the Bridge.

Their latest offering, Stadium Arcadium, features the lead single Dani California, and is already double platinum in Australia, having debuted atop the ARIA charts in typical RHCP fashion.

YOU ARE FREE! CLOSE YOUR EYES, OPEN YOUR MIND AND LET THIS MUSIC IN AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS IS TRUE

I first saw the chillis when they first came to oz and played at the hordern, there was not a huge crowd, no special effects, nothing like that, and that show will sh*t all over this one that is coming up, and for one main reason, back then, in the days of blood sugar sex magik and mothers milk etc. their music was, well, it was good, much better than the mass produced pop music they are churning out these days!!!

And by the way funky, i think everyone gets the gist that you have a slight obsession with rhcp, but for f*cks sake, we dont need a new thread on them everyday, if your going to do that, why not go to some sort of rhcp forum (im sure there will be one somewhere) and post there, this rhcp talk is getting very boring.

just on the chillis and in particular anthony kiedis. why the hell would you settle for second best when you have mike patton out there.

kiedis is a very very very poor mans version of mike IMO

He's poor mans version of Justin Timberlake more liek it.

Please don't use Mike Patton in the same sentence as Anthony Kiedis, it's an insult to Mike

lol apologies mate.

mate told me a tale a while back about patton and kiedis. apparently kiedis refused to play a festival becasue patton was on it singing in anyone of his talented bands.

i'm doubt its legitimateness but who knows.

What the f**k? Anthony Kiedis and The Peppers sh*t all over Mike Patton and Faith no More. I have a fair bit of Faith no More stuff and I can tell you that their music is nothing compared to the Peppers. The reason why they went big since Mike Patton joined is cos Patton pretty much tried to rip off Kiedis and the Peppers. I watched a few Faith videos and noticed this immedatley. What you got now merkin?

It's true, Keidis refused to play unless Mr Bungle were taken off the bill, as RHCP were the headliners, Mr Bungle were kicked off.

Patton responded by dressing up as RHCP with Mr Bungle and doing covers (which probably sounded better than the originals).

Here's a hilarious clip of one of Mr Bungle's performances as RHCP.

Patton's dancing is hilarious, as is the shooting up and snorting cocaine.
