The question is not who has he influenced, but who he is to influence.
based on the last album, Christina Aguilera would be the only one.

Possibly the stupidest thing to ever be written on the Internet. Who do you think you are? Maddam Zelda?

John Frusciante hasn't been around as long as Van Halen, he put out his solo stuff in the 90's.

Eddie Van halen first on the scene in 1977:arrow: world wide superstar straight away from one song. John F been around around 20 years? he's being compared with John Mayer and most people would say " who the f**k is he"

In many years to come everyone will see John Frusciante's magic and many future great guitarists will be influenced by his incredible musical style.

He hasn't done anything in 20 years, so I think it's a pretty safe bet he won't be doing anything in the next twenty years

Twenty years Funky and f**k all, thats how long he's been around and his music is no different to John Mayer, Kurt Cobain etc. Eddie has been a world wide inspiration since he was 20:lol: .

f**k 20 years!! and I only just heard of him lol

Ok tool look here is how it goes, Eddie "talentless sh*tbreed" Halen has been around since 77. His music sucks balls no matter what you say. Frusciante has been around since 89, you just haven't been fortunate enough to experience his unbelievably incredible solo work. Like Hendrix's music, it is not meant to be evaluated but experienced!

Hasn't done anything in 20 years:roll: . He's done alot more that you think. Do some more research buddy before you say anything. Wipe your mouth, you speaking sh*t again.

And PS he hasn't done anything more then what Kurt Cobain did or Dave Grohl, record and release music to the pop market. His playing is unoriginal and he hasn't influenced anyone significant in 20 years.

peavey are the shizz;-) 10 years and still never had a problem.
I had one myself and it sounded lame...it would've made a good keyboard amp.

Have you ever used a Rivera?

http://www.rivera.com/

The other guitarist in my band has one ...it is sweet.
Hand made , full tube combo, 3 channels and light weight.

Thick warm tone with so so many options...pricey but worth it.

I play a Marshall JCM 900 combo.

When and where are you playing next Carcharias?

Mate I stuffed my finger playing oztag on wed night.
Middle finger on left hand...am spewin.
It isn't broken but I cant hold a cup of coffee or make a fist.
So I dunno how long it will take.

the new bass player and I use to play together and have about 15 originals we will use.
the guitarist and I have about 10 originals from the last incarnation
The new line up have flicked all covers and we now have 8 new originals .
4 piece 2 guitars , drums and bass.
A fella at 101 studios heard a dodgy demo and reckons we sounded like Silverchair.
Personally I can't hear that.
Maybe that song '"freak" but hmmmm.
To me I think we sound more like alt/classic rock with big harmonies.
I write the catchy sing along ones and the other guitarist writes the long epics.

So
once we decide which of the old originals plus the new ones we do we will start to play again.

I will let you know....we will probably do a few gigs to nobody on a weeknight at the Excelsior or the like to begin with .

We are planning on doing a recording later this year as well.

Dude how can you say his playing is unoriginal when you haven't heard his solo work? He said himself that he is a very original guitarist. If you are judging his originality by the peppers music then yes for the mother's mil and blood sugar albums he was heavily influenced by Hilell. But he brought in his own touch into Californication and so on. Listen to "Niandra La Des and Usually just a T-shirt", "Smile from the streets you Hold", or "To record only water for ten days". I dare you to tell me they are unoriginal albums after you've listened to all 3. All three albums are masterpieces. After he got clean his music changed as well. In fact all of his 11 albums have their own style and originality to them.

Funky I listened to a couple of his songs on youtube, and In all honesty his solo's aren't any different from other guitarist. Original is something that a guitarist has brought which hasn't been brought to the guitar before, all the great guitarist have done this Berry, Hendrix, Van Halen,Malmstein, Vai. Now he might be good as far you're concerned, but I've heard 100's of better guitarist who were never in a popular band like RHCP, yet they could wipe the floor on the better known guitarist out there including John F. Now this isn't to piss you off, but John F probably wouldn't of been anywhere near as succesful if it wasn't for the RHCP, he has had the perfect platform to take of a solo career.

He said himself that he is a very original guitarist.

Now Funky, If Elton John said he was straight would you believe him? please Funky, that is a horrible statement to bring to an argument, imagine you in court using the same line? lol

That's the thing Funky, Californication is no where near as good in relation to the guitar then Sound Gardens "Superunknown". Yes his style isn't exact, but what on that album makes him a better guitarist then DeLeo from STP or DeMartini from Ratt? he sounds a little different but talent wise he wouldn't be better then the two I Mentioned.

Listen to "Niandra La Des and Usually just a T-shirt", "Smile from the streets you Hold", or "To record only water for ten days". Ok, but regardless if you think it's original doesn't mean it's a masterpiece also. I mean if I was to flick dogsh*t onto a Tin roof to generate a sound that's original but not necesary a work of art?
