that attitude is the problem ron.
Apparently if you are against a pack mentality singling out a team mate and harrassing him to the point of a breakdown, your soft

People like me and Jonathan Martin arent the problem Ron, people like you and Incognito are the problem. Weak as piss.

absolute crap! this was typical bullying situation like you think, this involved two guys from all reports were mates, however one guy knew he was about to be cut so he resorted to plan b in order to get a nice pay day.

Martin acknowledged he couldn't handle to the NFL locker room culture, so he got the f**k out, and will now cash in on it - who else would keep a voice messge from april - this was all rehearsed.

Maybe Martin should play league, he would fit right in.

i love how people on here are comparing this to your average workplace bullying hahaha - total different scenarios! i have never bullied anyone in my life, nor condone it in anyway -as i have seen how one incident early on in life can have a detrimental effect on someone's life later on - so lets get that straight, totally against it, i cannot emphasise this point enough.

The difference is, this guy is getting paid a shitload of money and the expectations on him to perform are that much greater then anyone on this board could imagine - team mates livilihoods can depend on one guys performance. He was not performing, Rithcie who was obviously given orders by coaches or teammates to fire him up responded.

Way more to this story then the convenience of bashing Incognito..

You cant tell a workmate you will kill them.

One of my mates got fired from a job because of it.

He and a work mate always gave each other light hearted ribbing. They got in the habit of leaving notes on each others trucks before going out on the road. Silly stuff like you can drive, the pedal in the middle helps you stop etc.

One day my mate was doing a delivery in an out of area, he saw his mates truck parked, so he wrote on a note "You are a dead man" and left it there.

Next day he hears that the police responded to a death threat.

He owned up, admitting it was a joke. He and his mate had a good laugh about it. He went to management, they sacked him on the spot.

You do have to be careful what you say, and the context in which it could be received.

I agree Tim, but it is obvious the context in this situation was a joke, and reports coming out that Martin reciprocated by sending Incognito msgs that he was going to kill his entire family as a joking response.

I get that. But you said you cant compare situations.

My example is a perfect comparison. It was always a joke, there was no threat. But because one party did not "get" the joke, any joking context is out the window at that stage. Both agreed it was a joke at a later point.

Guy still lost his job.

UPDATE: The NFL Players Association released a statement Thursday addressing the grievance filed by Incognito.
"Richie Incognito filed a non-injury grievance against his employer, the Miami Dolphins, pursuant to his rights under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The grievance challenges his suspension for conduct which was alleged to have occurred while he was with the club. In the grievance, Incognito requests that the hearing be held on an expedited basis so that he can immediately resume playing for the team. The NFL Players Association will continue to protect the rights of all players."
Incognito loses $235,294 every game he's suspended.

Just gets uglier.

there is some funny shit in that... ditching Fasano's dinner party because they dont want to leave home and hours later chasing puss was funny shit.

I dont think this changes things for either party, the text messages are only one aspect of it, there is the behaviour in the locker room, phone calls, what ever else happens. Incognito's career is still probably over, and Jonathan Martin is still young decent OLiner who will probably find work at the end of this.

Yeah just seems like 2 idiots texting each other, I paid particular attention to the last few messages before and after the story broke and Martin let on nothing.

i dont want to loose my Randy Moss Pic, but Incognito may need to be placed above as he is now the biggest legend in the game in my books lol

Definitely going to Social for a night out soon. But not on Thursday.

There is some good stuff in there, like when Richie knocked back a gig talking to school kids because he had a tattoo booking.

I liked the text that just said "can't believe we spent $12k last night"......

it genuinely seems like Ritchie Incognito is always one of two places...

a) working out/grinding
b) f**king prostitutes/hitting up T's

Just finished reading the Wells report... this does not bode well for Incognito, Pouncey, or the two coaches who not only knew it was all going on but actually got in on the act at times.

Martin wasnt the only victim either. Seems Incognito is just actually a real piece of shit.

Incognito is one nasty person. People like him disgust me. The game of american football does not need players like him. Society does not need people like him.

I would like to think that OL coach Jim Turner never ever again gets a job in the NFL.

As for Pouncey and Jerry, would other players want them as teammates.

Pouncey is probably good enough to survive. Incogito and Jerry are probably close to having their file stamped.

I dont know how good Turner is as a coach, but unless he's pretty good, you'd think his career is done. I wonder how this will change the NFL, or if it will?
