If we have a problem in attack for 5-6 weeks it IS the coach who fixes it or he ain't a coach no more..

I don't agree with public airings on a regular basis.

It does not breed confidence in the yteam for the coach..

A team that plays the best is one that is focused and relaxed..not scared of a coach...

If you can't fix a 6 week problem Stick....hmmm.

Its early yet perhaps... but I won't forget this.

We have played in 3 close games this season and are 0 for 3. Coincidence? I don't think so. As a mid table team we need to be able to win close games as we don't have the flair to go with the stronger teams. Losing these three games will hurt big time later in the season.
Hope the recruitment for next season is going well becuase we need some creative players if this team is to progress.

You have specialists to coach skills but

the Head coach coaches the head...

Let's not forget he's also trying to draw big business backers to the Sharks, maybe reform the board and probably overseeing recruitment as well.

The more tasks he piles on, the harder his main job is going to get. And he sure looks stressed.

Maybe he's on to something here.

The Sharks are playing ordinary. Supposedly we've got the greatest number of good players in NSW, but they can't put it together.

The greatest concern is that not even the Australian coach could get them in the right frame of mind for tonight's game.

I wouldnt swap Ricky Stuart for any other coach, but if this on-again, off-again rubbish was happening under Stuart Raper, a lot of fans would be calling for his head.

I've been wondering if how much time Ricky Stuart spends on peripheral issues affects how we play. Rep coaching, mentoring Willie Mason and expressing a different, controversial opinion in the media each week under the banner "the game's best thinker" means he has perhaps become the jack of all trades.

I know he has a great work ethic and maybe this is a controversial opinion, but maybe it's time Sticky went back to basics himself. It's not that I think he is bludging for the Sharks, but maybe he is overloading himself with work.

But that would be because Raper would fluff it up and go the ostrich. More power to Stuart for putting it on the line. I for one am super happy he did it because it's what I have been wanting for years and have attested to it many times. It's a clear message.

Is he trying to instill some sort of belief in the players that everyone else thinks they are that good.

I don't agree, these blokes aren't children, they're pro footballers.
If Stick busts his gut all week putting things together at training, putting a game plan together & putting that game plan in the heads of the team - then, on game day they forget it all & are too busy thinking about Coffs Harbour, they should get sprayed & get a public spraying.

They get paid a shtload to play footy, they should be 'on' every week.

And further, that there's not really any threat for positions from prems presents two problems - 1) if they're not being noticed they're not having a go - the most important thing Stick looks for is players having a go & having a bit of cnt in them, 2) complacency in 1st grade - perhaps some of then are starting to see stars & think they might replace those rooters blokes in the entertainment pages. f**k that, blast the hell out of them publicly & run em into the ground til they spew all week!

poor effort last night but for me the biggest positive was the roasting..
it was the truth and it needs to be heard at woolaware..
this is rickys way being a hard cnt and sure in 5 years we may be over it but 6 weeks in only 6 weeks it needs to be said and stuff them they are meant to be footballers not treehugging god loving dart players and they should cop it..

Yep - the open, public blast is a clear message to the Sharkettes when they turn up to a game, dressed like Florence & Emily from Little Britain to perform like "ladies" The understrength opposition was made look good by another crap Sharks performance - something you can rely on consistantly from the Shakes.

As it has been said in this topic, he's not got much to work with & is relying on a small portion of brainpower to understand that they are not performing the tasks he has instilled at training.

And we wonder why we support a team with zero premierships. No tenacity don't help either.

Read a lot of posts cannot believe what is being said.
We did not lose because of our forward s or our 3/4s we lost that and other games purely because of our halves end of story.

The do gooder will fire up but i know a pea when i see one.
