I'm not afraid to say that I shed tears when I heard the news of Jack's passing. My sincerest condolences to the Gibson family. Jack, you done good, you played strong.

May eternal rest grant unto him O Lord. May perpetual light shine upon him, May he rest in peace. Amen.

May they hang his' fur-lined collared parker in the Rugby League Hall of Fame.

I was shocked when I read on Nikki's facebook that Jack Gibson had passed away. I missed watching the game, beyond my control, but I have since been scanning the news web sites and I have shed a tear just reading about the great man. As some of you that know me know my late mum was a HUGE Parra supporter and the work the super coach did with the super Parra team of the 80's was beyond words. Sadly having both Alzhiemers and dementia must have been devastating for his family, my mum only had dementia and that was hard for me to handle.

May the great man rest in peace and it's a very sad loss for not only his family but also the rugby league community. :(

I only found out when they announced the min silence whilst we were at the SCG tonight. I felt gobsmacked, sad, then happy that he's now free of that bastard disease Alzheimer's.

Geeze those knobs at the ground made me angry. :x

No doubt they'll be a minute silence on Sunday alvo, he was associated with both clubs and gave great services to both of them.

3 years at Parramatta, 3 premierships. Great achievement.

RIP Jack. Or as Daryl Eastlake used to call him, the Super Coach!

I often wonder if it wasn't for Jack's time at the club that we would be on a par with the Sharks in terms of an empty trophy cabinet, close but no cigars? (No offence Sharks fans, Gibbo tried his luck for you guys too.)

It was an honour to be able to have witnessed the Gibson years at Parra as a fan - rugby league at its finest - and best wishes to Jack's family.

the pain is over jack, rest in peace but your legend lives on.

the clive churchill medal is awarded to the player of the match for the grand final.
first one was to sterlo in 1986 after the Little Master passed away in 1985.

time for the jack gibson medal for the premiership winning coach ?

Such Sad news. He done good Jack, Condolences.

As to the Idiots. There was only 1 minutes Silence I didn't hear a single Pep in the crowd. Mt Panorama Bathurst in 2006. If anyone, Ford of Holden would have interrupted that silence, they would have been killed. Plan and Simple.

Have to agree Mark. I was at McPhillamy & was scared some Ford fan was about to make the mistake of their life.

With regards to the great man, he will forever be remembered around here for those immortal words "Ding Dong the witch is dead !"

Words cannot describe what this man did for this club!

R.I.P. Jack.

Sadest Day in Rugby League History without a doubt.

I saw Sterlo paying a small tribute on the telecast via FoxSportsNews.

My condolences to his family.

God Bless. Your a Legend Jack.

I believe two things must happen:
Something at Parra Stadium must be made in his honourSurely we must have a minute silence this Sunday.

RIP Supercoach.

Like Sterlo said, we knew it was coming but doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

Jodeci, I can say without a shaddow of a doubt that there will be a minutes slience at least at ANZ on Sunday, if not at all games over the weekend.
