A bit of exposure for his commercial interests I suspect.
I noticed a similar prediction in the Newcastle Herald last Thursday - it was listed as having been from AAP.

Perhaps he sold his predictions to AAP, or does writing for them on the side.
In any case, his predictions are no different to anyone elses: i.e. incorrect.

We're all bound to get the tips wrong - I must admit I don't see many good points in his analysis, but then again most people see an equal amount of faults in mine. The difference is: he's offering his opinions in exchange for free publicity (perhaps even financial rewards too?), and I'm not. :lol:

Before the 2001 grandfinal there was an article on the totalrl.com site (main english site) that declared the game would be no contest and Parra couldn't lose if they showed up twenty minutes after kickoff (which is funny, because they did).
I wrote an email to the guy telling him his article was the most biased piece of crap i'd ever seen and that any team who makes the grandfinal deserves respect - he sent me an email back saying I was the biased one and obviously a Newcastle supporter who couldn't see that my team had no hope - after the game i sent him back his own email as a quote with just the words 'PRIZE IDIOT' writen under it.
