The last I heard Paul Pottinger is holding up the deal.

News LTD are desperately trying to get him on the commission ahead of Chris Sarra.

I heard it was a whisker away from getting up in the fornight before Xmas but there were some I's still to dot .. & T's to cross

The AFL were at the negotiating table for 2 years for their latest tv deal. We are going to get 8 months if we are lucky. Having to rush is not good.

That is also what I understand.I also undertand the Tv stations would have their initial bids in before Christmas.Of course the final decision rests with the I.C ,who are the only ones who can sign off on the dotted line.

I don't think the tv deal will be sorted until late in the year, I think as late as September.
1. Expansion will have to be decided on prior.
2. The commission will be lucky to be seated by March 1.
3. David Gallop will somehow stuff the above 2 up.
