Actually, it seems to depend where you go. I have seen some agencies sell it for $5.95 and others for the actual price of $4.95. I cant work out why.

Sure is. Timmy gets another mention.

He's put on 4kg of muscle (according to nrl.com he is taller and heavier than Johns) and spent the off-season working on defence and taking it to the line.

Damn it, I hate it when RLW doesn't tell you when the next issue comes out!

I assumed I'd have to wait until the footy actually started to get the next one...

Is it worth it? (ie: any good Eels stuff in it lol)

Apart from what's already been said:

* Timmy denies 2nd year syndrome and says that he may benefit from a "chat" he had with Barrett during the Kangaroo squad camp (just pray that he doesn't get up and king hit anyone)

* Hindy appears in an Asics ad

* Tahu is now the fastest in the club... title was jointly held by Burt & Grothe two years ago

* Hayne is the Eel profiled in the "Rookie Patrol" and gets a rap from Smithy: "Jarrod is only 18 but has handled everything we have thrown at him. He started last year in Ball, moved up to Flegg and then starred in PL, so he has shown he can step up."

* The Eels Express makes an appearance under NRL merchandise.

* If you're skimming through fast enough, the City Origin jumper still looks deceptively Eelish.

* PL team is expected to be strong again with the entire grand final winning team being retained (minus one Muckert). A photo of the grand final is included with a Rooster's pants down and Peter Lewis looking like he doesn't want to go near him. Reminder that JT has stepped up to first grade assistant and the PL coach will be Matt Cameron this year. McFadden will be coaching Raiders PL this year.

* Photo of Vaealiki from behind in the Wigan vs Les Catalans match. I didn't realise he now wears headgear.

* Parra on top of Matthews and Ball ladders after 1 round (the table for Ball actually has Balmain listed at the top but we have a better points difference).

That's awesome!

Thanks so much for that!

Couple of Eels pieces in it

Hayne is named as the Eels next player to watch. Brian gives him a wrap talking about how last year he went from SG Ball to Premier League (GRand Final) in 1 season and how he has shown that he can accept a challenge, I just got the impression that Smithy said without saying that Hayne will get a go in the top grade this year as long as he stays injury free and doesn't go backwards in his development.

There is also a small thing about Smithy looking like he's heading to Hull

They compare the fastest players in the game talk mainly about Albert but does mention that TAhu is even quicker in 2006

and the biggest piece is one of Timmy talking about how he's going to handle his 2nd year in the top grade

Main points in this

- Worked mainly on defence and running game which where his two weakest areas last year
- Says that while he knows he'll also be under pressure with the next STerlo tag his not going to let it effect his game
- Laughed off suggestions he'll sucumb to the 2nd year syndrome
- Mentions that he put on 4kg of muscle in the off-season

It's the worst issue I've seen in years. Nothing interesting or exciting in it.

Graham Lowe bagging Warriors? Predictable. Tough to do too much before the season starts though.

That's why that other mgazine waits huh? ;-)

Actually if it is only the NRL most people are interested in then Big League is perfect. If you have interest outside of the NRL then this weeks RLW was quite a good read....
