RLW Predictions

I bought RLW for the first (and last) time in ages today. It has definately gone downhill. Anyway none of the so called experts tipped the Sharks to make the 8 and 3 of them tipped us for the spoon.

For the record I think we will make 8 and if we don't get injuries or get derailed by any off field issues I reckon we can make the top 4.

I took the $2.70 for the top 8 before it came down to $2.10 a few days ago.

Did they give any justification Redders or is it just our recent track record that they're drawing upon?

who cares?! I'll laugh my ass off at the 'experts' and knockers when we do make the 8 (I hope!)

They all must of written their pieces last November. LD and KS have been well and truly covered.

Depth is lacking from 2-5 but there could be a genius lurking.

They are new pieces as they cover the Carney signing. Another suggestion was that Gallen carries the team.

A few other Sharks articles in there. One suggesting Carney was very close to signing for the Cowboys and a small piece on Robson.

Still could of been written in November as Carney signed on the 25th October 2011.

We are the same old same old apparently.

9 tipsters and none of them tipped us for the 8.

The "three wise men" who tipped us for the spoon were Martin Lenehan, Joel Gould & Steve Mascord.

Steve Mascord on why we will finish last.

"The Sharks have lost two of the game's best forwards in Kade Snowden and Luke Douglas. If Bryce Gibbs and Andrew Fifita can equal those two, the Sharks won't sink to the bottom. But that's a big ask.

Joel Gould on why we will finish last.

Todd Carney won't be enough to get the Sharks up the table, who are still far too reliant on Paul Gallen and lack depth. While the Eels and Titans have bought well, the Sharks have not fared as well in the player market."

Martin Lenehan on why we will finish last.

Paul Gallen will continue to inspire and Todd Carney may well fire, but it won't be enough for Cronulla to avoid their first spoon since 1969.

They've certainly got the brains trust at RLW.........

How the f**k does Joel Gould know we will be far too reliant on Paul Gallen when a ball hasn't been kicked yet in the Premiership?????

FMD!

That magazine is a shadow of its former self. I used to buy it religiously. Now I couldn't be bothered as they seem to be aiming for a target audience of about 5 years old. Made up rumours and stories that have done the rounds dozens of times before.

Has anyone heard of Martin Lenehan or Joel Gould?......hanging for the footy to start so we can start proving these turkeys wrong. Not sure where we'll finish but no-where near the spoon !

Most media has been up the shyte for quite awhile.

Some very lazy and not very talented journalists out there.

Some of the comments I read on that prediction thread was just comical.

I am not joking when I say that some of them have completely no f**king idea about Rugby League.

Gone are the days of Peter Frilingos with the regular insightful articles and the high standard he set for Rugby League articles in the Telegraph.

Most of the rubbish printed in the papers are just opinion pieces.

We don't want your f**king opinion we want the stories and the facts.

But that requires for them to get up off the ass.

They are the most part lazy A/holes who think writing about their views on issues in Rugby League is more news worthy and important.

If that is all you have to offer as a journalist then become a blogger.

somebody has to come last. It is as hard to pick as first, if not harder.
The reasons they give are sound. They could well turn out to be wrong.
Rugby League teams are very big ships & they take a long time to halt & turn around.
You need an incredible amout of luck, decisions, unity & passion to do what the Roosters did a few years ago.
Whilst i dont think we will come last, we could easily finish well outside the 8.

Last season it was Luke Douglas, Kade Snowden and the rest. This year it is Bryce Gibbs, Ben Ross, Andrew Fifita, Mark Tafua, Jon Green and Josh Cordoba.

Our back row options include Tupou, Smith, Gallen with Bakuya, Frizzell, Tagatese and Wade Graham if required.

Hookers include De Gois, Morris and Robson.

If that is not an improvement on last years squad, I am not here.

I am expecting the 2012 Sharks to finish in the top 6 and even pushing big time for a top 4 spot.

Like to have seen the same dickheads make a rough estimate on the result of last week's trial.
