Indeed the refereeing was poor and blatantly wrong at critical moments which influenced the result but we were complicit in creating some of those circumstances and ultimately responsible for the loss.
Poor discipline, poor decision making, poor defence, poor selections all things within our control that yet again led us to a loss in what was a totally winnable game.
The short drop out with a couple of minutes on the clock and the resultant last minute try is all on us.
Short drop outs have been costly to us over the years and our right side defensive alignment has been piss poor for years regardless of who was on the wing.
The Hunt, Sua, Lomax, Rava was shit as was Hunt, Sua, Suli, Lomax or any other variations of the above.
Someone suggesting that the long drop out was not used to avoid a 2 point field goal by Burton is simply ridiculous thinking.
The notion that we were tired and defending close to our line was easier is equally as ridiculous.
I also find it ridiculous that one minute we have the worst roster in the comp, are nothing more than spoon contenders that not even Bennett & Bellamy could do any better with then the next minute we are a team of effort that has been f**ked over by refs otherwise we would be in the top 8.
Evidently we can be both according to this place.
Our roster is not great but far better than spoon quality but alas they have not been coached out of all the things that they do that ultimately and repeatedly cost us games.
For all the different views re Galvin in the end a couple of key moments for him in the game, he iced them and got them to a win so who are we to be so critical of him when he did what our key playmakers can’t?
