Looks like the USA have got this now. Congratulations to them. For the sake of the game I hope the AMNRL are removed from power before the start of the build up to the WC.

I think some sort of compromise between the AMNRL and USARL will be the best answer.

This World Cup qualification though will give the AMNRL greater legitimacy :?

I don't think anyone would have a problem if they would just adopt a fair selection policy and stop their pathetic bitterness towards the USARL.

Hey as people with the game at heart we all look at the down side (and I have been one to question the AMNRL/USARL split) but please stop drumming on about about American RL as if you have the power to change things.

We in Europe and Aussie can look from the outside but dont know the workings of the game in America(despite thinking we know whats for the best)

What happens will be a process of change and who knows maybe a WC place will encourage a coming together of the two administartions.

If the raggea boys dont turn it around because the games not over yet :sarcasm:

This is a great opportunity to promote the game in the USA. Hopefully both sides can come together and work something out to take advantage of the sport's likely increased profile.

Fantastic result.
I can't help thinking there will have to be government funding to prepare their world cup team now.
I mean, Fiji got 100k of government money for their WC bid last time, and we are talking about the richest country in the world.
They should also be able to attract a decent sponsership as well.
I really look forward to Matt Elliott working with a well funded squad over the next few years.

Well done to the Yanks. A big win like that makes it pretty clear who deserved to make it into the World Cup.

Jamacia has learnt a lot from this campaign I feel.
I can see a firce rivalry between Canada, Jamacia and USA really driving growth in North America from now on.

Can't see it happening, money to the USA League team is hardly going to generate good publicity for the government.
