Rnd 23 v Tigers - Game Time

Need I emphasis how important this game is.

I'm still of the opinion that we have to finish on 30 to get into the finals. We are currently on 24 .. 2 points today, plus the bye, puts us on 28 ... for those not good at the numbers that means we only need to win one from two. Considering the Sharkies might still be in the race, that last game could be as difficult as the Storm.

Therefore a win today almost guarantees us a place in the finals ... probably 8th in which case we'd have to play the Storm in mexico ... is it worth it :?

Carney is listed to start on the bench ... ohh boy, is this Elliott's "mind games" tactic again ... I hope so cause if he isnt running out come 7:30PM I'm jumping through the TV screen to give the "coach" a gobful.

Hopefully we did learn a lesson from the Rabbits debacle and will have that 20% factor (inspiration) in order. If it isnt, we will come home with the daunting task of having to beat the Storm (H) and Sharks (A) to get into the finals ... fat chance.

This is no time to go back into our shell ... we are successful when we use the ball and the width of the field. If Elliott's tactics are centred on safety first we will once more have missed the boat.

This is going to be one tense tussle and I hope the ref doesnt intervene in a manner that skews the result against us.

GO THE RAIDERS !!!

Shutting down Prince and Farah is the key IMO Bay

Makes it easier with no Marshall and if he plays Hodgson will not be anywhere near 100%

Why not do it at 3pm, when the game starts?

Important games for the lower grades as well ...

Jersey Flegg play the Wests Magpies who are 2 points behind us at 10th place ... a win will assist in cementing a finals spot ... the table suggests that 8th is the best we can do .. we are on 22, parra on 21, wests on 20 and sharks on 18.

Premier League are in a scramble for the all important 4th spot and have an automatic 2 points with a bye. They currently hold 5th, 2 points behind the Tigers who play 3rd place dragons today. A loss by the tigers will give us 4th with a superior F/A.

Looks like the rugby league gods are shining on us with the Sharks, Panthers and Cowboys all losing.

A win tomorrow will give us a 4 point break ... with a certain 2 points the next week that will remain a 4 point break with only two rounds remaining and therefore 28 points may be good enough to get to the finals.

Might have to book my ticket for Melbourne now :)

If the Dragons and Broncos lose today we will be equal with them in the last two round at the very worst, at best we will be 2 ahead of them.

Todd Carney will be the starting halfback with Lincoln Withers dropping back to the bench.

Wouldn't be surprised if Tilse starts and Hodgson goes back to bench. Need to get off to a good start, surely they will be fired up and ready for this one.

There will be a lot of emotion and a big crowd at Campbelltown today ... Scandalis plays his last game there.

A do or die game for the Tigs ... the longer we stay in front on the scoreboard the more frustrated they will become.

This is no game for us to play middle third football ... a golden opportunity for us to cement a finals spot ... albeit at the expense of the Warriors who would be in front of us atm if not for their points deduction.

If there is one piece of advice I'd give Elliott it's that we are as good an attacking team as any given the chance to play that style of football.

I can see the Tigers performing near their best so hopefully that gets us to play our best.
