I’m going to think the worst and have Hayne and French both out this week.

1. Smith
2. Gennings
3. Jennings
4. Auvau
5. Hoffman
6. Norman
7. Moses
8. Brown
9. Kaysa
10. Mannah
11. Mau
12. Tepai
13. Scott

14. Alvaro
15. Trex
16. Terepo
17. Edwards (King if injured)

I would play Brown at prop, the way he has been used seems like he is just going to be a battering ram. Have him start with Scott also in the middle and I think we have a really strong middle!
Kaysa comes back for his mongrel and enthusiasm he shows, for mine he was starting to make the hooker role his own before injury last year.
I’d bring Trex and Terepo into the side, Two guys that with a 20-25 stint just running hard can really get us on the front foot.
For mine it’s time to give Evans a week at Wenty to wake him up, he has showed nothing the first few weeks yet earnt a starting spot last week.
Time for a couple of changes BA

46 tackles. 1 miss...

He is exhausting himself though, when we get to attack he can’t pressure the markers because he can’t run. He just picks up and passes.
I know on the weekend our plan got stuffed by the Hayne injury, but the more I think about it the more I think we need a second hooker on the bench.
Let either King or Kaysa start, tackle themselves silly and then give the other one 10 before half time and 20 after.
We need to start getting moment from the ruck and it starts from the hooker and we need them to start running and making the markers and defenders either side of the ruck to start second guessing

If Hayne and Bevan both out, I would consider moving Hoffman to 1 instead of Smith.

1. Hoffman
2. Gennings
3. Jennings
4. Auvauaaaa
5. Davis/GL
Great call MJC. Could even be a huge advantage. I really like that option. Would allow Smith to assist Kingy which really hurt us last weekend. Please "texta" BA and suggest. Im excited now.
No Hayne
No Kane
Bev gets a rest.
All pretty positive stuff I reckon. Fingers crossed Marata gets his chance.

The Tigpies back 5 have been pretty good and in particular I have been impressed with the enthusiasm shown in attack and defence. I think we need to match that enthusiasm out wide (as well as in the forwards) or they will actually score more than 1 try for a change.

Agreed, that’s probably the best backline available if Hayne and French are out.

Davis started out as a fullback...he's bulked up a lot since then and I have no idea what his positional play would be like, but he'd certainly get our sets off to a good start. We also wouldn't have to worry about his defence in the front line, which is awful
