Well here we go again ... the roller coaster ride that Raiders supporters are so familiar with.

Pointers indicate to a Raiders victory ... we're at home, Tigs have injuries to key players.

I just hope that Henry has a game plan that utilises the strengths we have out wide. If we attempt to ram it up the middle third we negate that advantage.

I think this game would have been ideal to have blooded a youngster like Justin Carney ... the lad is 20yo, has a solid frame, heaps of enthusiasm and knows how to sniff out a try.

Anyway, 3 wins from 5 would look OK ... that ratio gets us into the eight (I'd say cannon fodder from there).

I'll be there early to watch the TC boys.

TC game is not on fox ... I think it normally would have been other than the early start in NZ.

TLL played Qld Cup. Ben jones will play.

Absolutely deplorable IMO, and I'm not confident in Purtell and Milne defending the left hand side. I like Milne, but he worries me in defence and especially under the high ball.

I feel TLL should be in the squad though BJ hits hard & is soild in defence ,also a good talker on the field something we miss,not enough talk.

IMO Tom should not suit up in FG unless 100% fit. I'm sick of players coming in half cooked, lasting 10 minutes and being ruled out for the season.

Same goes with Monaghan this weekend.

Need I say it ... a game of two halves ... one with the usual U6 style errors and another where ball handling will eventually see some cream float to the top.

Porbably Carney's best game this season ... heck even Withers hardly made a mistake.

The growing injury list is a bit of a worry.

Toyota Cup resulted in a big victory to the Raiders.

Dugan went OK ... Matt Smith (7) was MOM.

The match started in sunshine then a cold front came over and it pissed down rain for most of the 2nd half ... just as the game ended we went back to our seats and the sun was shining again.

I didnt see as much of Justin Carney as I wanted but the lad has muscles on his leg muscles ... bends the line more than Tilse. I was listening some guys behind me talk ... they seemed to be connected with the juniors in some way ... they spoke highly of Carney and mentioned that he doesnt have a pass so will prob end up on the wing or forwards in FG.

44-22 from memory ... some real soft defence enabled the Raiders to rack up a decent score.
