Well done guys.

You were less inept than us and came away with the win.

You have to be happy with the heart your team has...I wish Penrith had half of that ticker.

Well done Raider fans...you deserve it.

cheers big mick. I feel sorry for you panthers fans, your team is a train wreck. Even elliot doesn't deserve to have them.

I dunno, you take the good with the bad...we did have a few errors when we should of scored..

But Penrith didnt exactly lay there to get run over..there goal line defense was pretty good (as was ours)..we had a shocking kicking game (a few decent ones here and there though).

I mean when we racked up 2 quick trys (something that was missing from the past few seasons) we looked very dangerous but due to injuries we still managed to maintain a very strong attacking game..we looked like scoring every play or almost.

I think saying Penrith or the Raiders are fighting for the spoon is a bit much, especially after 2 rounds...

I actually enjoyed the game...had a lot of highlights and whilst a lot of dud errors..it had been raining most of the day.

I'd add Graham to the list of good players out there tonight Legend.

Carney wasn't just quiet I thought he was woeful, for a guy touted as a future rep player he has a long way to go. Gutted about Zillman, hope this isn't a pattern of continual injuries.

I think the Carney-Campese combo is hopeless. Dobson... I think either him or Herbert HAVE to come into the team next week, replacing Campese.

Never got to see the game this week unfortunately...

A couple of things I wouldn't mind finding out from you folks (if I could indulge?)

* Early reports suggest a season ending knee reco for zillman??!??!

* Stats suggest Miller had a good game?

* What about the Scott Logan Injury?

* How did hinchliffe play at dummy half?

Zillman, could be out for the season...played great until the injury..

Miller was pretty good..he really fired up when Logan was out though.

Logan broken nose or cheek bone...missed basically 60minutes..wasnt too effective whilst on the field..although he did have a few big hits in defense.

Hinchy was awesome...i was a doubter of the guy..but he flat out hammers people in defense. He only had a few shocking passes (none forward just too high if anything)..overall was probably the best on the park.

Cheers R2k2! .... Geez... That would be a huge loss losing zilly for the season. Wonder if it's the same knee? Hope things aren't as bas as first thought for the lil' fella. He'd be a hard player to replace.

he hurt his left knee..not sure if it was the same one though...

He was carving up the panthers...massive difference compared to Bronx ( who i used to see as a first grader)...

Gee wasn't that an entertaining way to kill off an hour and a half

Thankfully Penrith were worse than us - we certainly wouldn't have beaten most other sides in the comp based on that. Only squeaking in against a side who completed 50% of their sets.

I said earlier to give Campo/Carney a month. This would be a waste of another fortnight as I dont think Campo should be allowed ever again to wear a single digit jersey based on his past fortnight. He is slowly becoming the rugby league answer to "Dr Death" with the amount of attacking moves he euthanases each week.

Carney was equally sh*te and needs to step up now he owns the keys to the club.

Zilly - my heart broke for ya mate. Tragedy.

I watched our U20's go round and if Michael Picker, Justin Carney. and Josh Dugan aren't fast tracked we are dead set bonkers. Dugan especially now Zilly has gone down could be an option given Purtell and Goodwin are allergic to defending.

Full back will be our nightmare for the entire season so maybe give a kid a go, as we went through this last year and came up with nothing.

Dobson to 7 and Carney to 6 for a fortnight.

Thurling for Logan - has to start he is one of our best forwards

Still I will take an ugly win over a scintillating loss anyday.

That was heart attack material in attack but I have to say it was an outstanding defensive display from our boys. Especially with 2 men down in the second half where we kept them to 0.

Penriths first try came from a dodgy decision (IMO) where Campese (?) was called for playing at a sh*t pass from Sammut that Monas should have been able to gather in. It was called back as a knock on and they proceeded to score.

Their second try came as a result of that 40-20 after we absolutely hammered them in defence before he got that kick away. Yes it was poor positioning from Goodwin, but it was right against the run of play. Blair was lucky to get the call from the video ref too.

That no-try to Picker was also worthy of a decent look from the video ref - but we don't expect any favours there do we.

Our back row completely dominated theirs - without our SOO rep and Turner.

Losing Zilly was a heart breaker and is the worst possible outcome, but we managed to overcome terrible games from Carney in particular and Goodwin for a gutsy win. Not too many teams would recover from such a bad game from their halfback.

A big improvement on last week. The call ups all played really well.Barring injury its going to be a while before we see Weyman/Best .Super service from Hinchcliffe,Campese picks up the slack when carney goes missing and Thurling showed plenty of grunt in defence/attack.

jeez cant believe campo is getting smashed here...

The guy was our sole playmaker...carney was MIA.
Damn straight. Campo was far from brilliant but he carried our attack.

Not sure if Carney is trying too hard or what, but he just needs to settle down and run the team rather than be a hero with the footy. Watch a few tapes of Cooper Cronk.

I have to say if the number 7's were swapped in that game our team wins by 30.

Imagine how bad we would have looked if withers was playing. I think his a gutsy player but i didnt miss the forward passes. His an impact hooker imo.

Bronx is the most experienced fullback who can catch (the requisite ruling chalk out). And i think Chalk has really found a home in the backrow- he played great tonight.

If not i'd give campo a go at fullback- i can remember him playing there a year or two ago (correct me if i'm wrong).

I haven't seen Herbert, but agree that Carney is a 5/8 and always has been. Any reports on Dobson in reserves?

Anyway, the win was great but i've seen better football played at my local park by 12 year old kids. I couldn't believe when watching the game that we are anywhere near the salary cap.

Gee, I though we did particulary well last night all things considered. Granted the opposition wasn't great but once again we were faced with only a two man bench for the majority of the game. The new faces Hinchcliffe, Picker, Plum and Thurling all went great and all will be better for the run. Chalk's versatility has been a blessing given our bad run with injuries but having said that I would like to see him start in the centres next week moving Graham to the wing, as opposed to bringing back Best. This would also free up a bench spot to include TLL or Weyman. Goodwin, although bagged by some, deserves a decent shot a fullback.

Campo and Carney are yet to fire although Campo was one of our best last night. Todd looked better when he decided to run the ball, which indicates 6 may be his best position. Haven't seen Herbert , so happy to stick with current combo although if my wish for Chalk to play in the centres comes off, Campo could become the ideal bench player if Herbert has the goods.

Watched the Toyota Cup and was impressed with their performance. Players like Dugan, Stuart, Kennedy and Fensom are definitely players to look out for. Wasn't overly impressed with Joel Thompson however he was more involved in the second half.

I agree Campo played really well but to drop the guy we just paid 400k for not really an option and he is no halfback. Lock would be his best place for now.

The U20s were very impressive, weren't they? Really gave it to the much fancied Panthers' side, and the try after the full time siren was rubbing salt into the wounds.

Mick Picker, Justin Carney, JOsh Dugan and the captain Fensom all look to have the goods, and when Joel Thompson decides to fire up look out the opposition!

I think we could do worse than considering Dugan for firsts. Seems to be a better goal kicker than Todd Carney, too.
