How can a manly fan talk about drugs *cough* walker *cough*

There's a difference between taking a drug once at a party whilst drunk and a player taking an illegal performance enhancing steroid before a game.

I'm sorry..

*Indigenous Australian

It isn't an excuse, but it is a well known fact that Indigenous Australians are more prone to taking illicit drugs. I am not being racist, just look at the problems that the Aboriginal communities are having with drugs. Redfern is the best known example.

Yes, but there is a difference between deliberately INTENDING to CHEAT in a FINALS game and taking a party drug whilst drunk. In a court of law Walker would probably get off as no one can determine whether in his state, he was 100% aware of what he was doing. Many cases involving the defendant being drunk at the time of the crime result in the defendant being found not guilty. Where as Robbie O'Roid knew what he was taking when he took it and was aware of what the effect would be.

Drugs are bad mmkay...I am not justifying what Walker did, but in my book deliberately taking a steroid before a finals game is worse than having a drug once at a party. Who here can say that they haven't had a drug at a party/rave?

No.. The thread is about Robbie O'Davis and I directed my comments towards him.

Well if Matthew Ridge and Craig Innes were found to be on steroids during the game and we won, wouldn't you be a bit peeved?

Addiction? Who was addicted now?

Walker took the drug once. As for alcohol that was the first time he had drunk since he left the Brumbies and only drunk because he was in the company of family and did not want to be looked down upon.

Ah, least you said sorry.

But, back to the topic - taking drugs at all shouldn't be allowed. I know that some players have to for medical reasons, but thats up to the NRL to decide.

What has his Aboriginality got to do with anything. You have a very good argument, and you ruin it with this "aborigine" statement.

Its 2004 mate,not 1788..........
