Miller is simply not first grade standard at this stage in his career, he won't be there. I'm excited about a Marshall and moltzen halves combo, it could lead to something big!!!

Moltzen is by far and away the best option at halfback. Forget the organising for crying out loud when have we had a strong kicking game and organised play. Which team have you been watching for the past 6 years. He plays the right side of the field well and will take more pressure off Marshall that is all he has to do and with Ayshford and most likely Blair on the right will be a key player.

The lack of a strong kicking and organising game is the main reason for our failures over the last few years. Hence Moltzen will not solve anything at halfback, only complicate things.

Good news with Lui being released. I hope he can turn it around but he certainly blew his chance with WT. Sorry to say but I think the Cowboys have brought another Carney- can be good on the field but off field misdemeanours will cause them grief. For Lui's sake I hope he can get his act together up there with his families support and encouragement.

I think / hope that Teflon is now over his playing Moltzen anywhere except halfback for the moment and gives him first shot at the 7. I agree Moltzen has flaws in his game but you have to heed the win / loss record we have with him playing at 7 with Marshall at 6- at least for the start of the season (God, a awful thought just arose as I wrote this- will Sheens resurrect the Marshall at 7 failed experiment?). The way is open for Moltzen to either make the 7 jersey his own or loose it to the young up and comer Miller in the later half of the 2012 season.

Time will tell.

Yeah Moltzen was awesome late in the year, and we have a 9 out of 10 record with him in the 7. The Moltzen hate is weird and unjustified.

The 9 out of 10 record with Tim at halfback stat that people keep pullling out fails to recognise that during most of that period we went from having an abysmal fullback to having a dynamite fullback. It's no coincidence that our form went to water once Gallant broke his leg and Moltzen went back to fullback.

Just because Lui has gone doesn't mean the Moltzen will automatically slot into the #7 jersey. I'm not so sure that Sheens would be too keen to give up his three (four?) year project of trying to make Moltzen into a fullback, particularly since at the end of last season, he did start to show some glimpses of form.

Every one knows this is probably the one serious point I've ever made on here. I've always thought there was a case for picking perhaps a less talented player, but one who brought us a tactic we've thrown away seasons for not having.

We need a kimmorley type 7. Great kicking game, thats all we need. Thats what Miller provides in spades compared to moltzen

Two wrongs don't make a right mate.

Yeah thats true lotsa numbers.. It may not be ideal but Moltzen will be better for side at 7 imo than Lui was.. Another bonus while he is 7 we may get a better fullback. I know he is a pea heart at times playing at the back ,but up in the line he will be heaps better. I do agree about ppl mentioning his direction of play and general kicking...how ever if he is left there with the same training and time Lui was given he will be more than capable of forming a killer combination with Benji. I would have been just as happy if we used Miller there also
