Read the article. Specifically talks about Moylan, Milford and George Burgess as being the three most impressive.

Nice to get such a wrap outside of the Panthers camp.

Considering George and JWH have had suspensions, i'd probably have Fifita as prop of the year.

What you said about George was right TT, i dunno if it were the Souths supporters or Roosters supporters who were more shocked when he scored that try.

George was stood down by the Rabbitohs not the NRL, so I don't think it will carry the 3 points lost per game like if you're suspended by the match review committee

It sure did considering he was not performing at this level in the 20's and then out of nowhere boom he bursts in to one of the best props in the game in his full debut season while the others like such as Klemmer (player of the year), Napa, Evans, Sao etc... barely played first grade. What enraged him so much to throw a street sign through a car again?

George was NSW Cup prop of the year and he had wraps on him that he would be even bigger than Sam when we brought him over.

He had some clear weaknesses though like lateral defence that he had to work on. Plus he dominated the off season training adding that extra bit to his game that wasn't present last year. Tom could be at the same level easily next year

Burgess did get 106 metres off 10 hitups with 29 tackles a line break and a try. Matt Scott was better but it's Burgess had a decent game as well.

I don't think George deserves prop of the year anyway but he is clearly by far the best rookie.

Considering Kasiano got prop of the year last year, you never know what the judges might be smoking

hopefully our policy of shunting promising juniors to qld cup or giving them 15 minues a game might leave with henry. Bit of a farce with the 3 games previous season rule but in terms of shear impact and consistency i has to be G burgess for the top award.

I still can't agree with that. As I said, it automatically disqualifies anyone who is blooded at the end of the season when finals are out of the equation for a team, as they wouldn't make the list for either year

Change the award title to young player of year and also have a first year award.
