Rooney Rumour

There is big speculation that the Drags are going to sign Luke Rooney for '09. St.George have some good talent and depth in the outside backs, why would they sign Rooney? Doesnt make sence to me

I guess Bennett is used to having a SoO team at his disposal. Imagine a 3/4 line with Rooney, Gasnier and Cooper. Who wouldn't want that?
I reckon it could very well happen.

Looks like there might be some truth behind that rumour. If indeed Bennett wants to sign Rooney, then rest assured somebody will go, perhaps Cooper -> ESL.
