How many of the above players were champion first grade material when the Dragons enlisted them? Or did the Dragons recognise potential and develop their talent. This is the major point. The Roosters main talent is shelling out for developed players.
Fittler, Fitzgibbon, Finch, Morley, Cayless....I could go on.

We will stop whinging when the Roosters start making a positive contribution to the Leagues talent pool not just enlisting from it.

Well our Jersey Flegg and Premier League teams are leading the competition and hardly any of them are first grade players but juniors identified and put through our development schems

now as to first grade - name the teams these players came from where they were established first grade players

Hodges (hardly with Broncos - a player of talent yes but played less than 15 first grade games with Broncos)

Fitzy (came of the bench for St George and was told he didn't have a future with the Soxs..)

Cayless (was a reserve grade player at Parramatta)
Robertson (was a reserve for reserves at Parramatta)

dragons won 11 straight premierships... during this period their side was basically the australian side...talk about BS

differrence is, they didnt debut with them!! joined them to play for australia.. look at how many players debut with us above

we got wing from souths misfortunes - so we didnt steal him
we got fittler cos of super league war.. so we didnt steal him, panthers lost him
we got walker again cos of souths misfortunes

ha ha this is some funny shit!!!!!
you gotta get over it guys. i played in the roosters junior comp a while ago,all three of us. paddo colts,bondi united and woolloomoolloo warriors.
geez we were crap.
we joined the souths and st george comp and got our pants pulled down and copped a fair walloping week in week out.
then when i made the rep team we got 60-70 point hidings from any team we played.
oh yeah,my point.....
just cos the juniors are crap dont mean they should fold,if that was the case they would be gooooorne.
the roosters have a proud history and a large support base(even if they dont go to the games)
the only way for them to compete is to poach and develop younger players from elsewhere,get over it cos it aint gonna stop!!!
they will always get players from my beloved magpies,canberra,st george and balmain cos bondi is a great place,hot ladies,nice beach.
compared with the pie eating slaggs that live in the above mentioned teams areas,but it will feel so much better when you win a comp with about 80% home grown talent who have pride in thier areas team....like penrith,,,when backs are against the wall it is these players that come out and do it for the love of the team...........fu(k,where am i goin with this.............anyway,get over it cos it will keep happening,besides if they didnt do it we would have no-one to hate
