here here. no big loss and sammy will be able to cover some bases if injuries hit our backs and foley has a bright future. roberts will be no big loss. won't happen though

Craig Fitzgibbon & Danny Nutley will retire at the end of this season. Brent Grose won't be required beyond this season either, he is just there while young weapons like Antonio Winterstein move through the ranks. Same goes for Shane Shackleton & Daniel Howard, who will find it hard to get a spot when our Flegg props like Kennedy, Waqa, Tamou move through the ranks.

If Amos Roberts leaves, we must immediately re-sign Foley, he can not only cover fullback if Mini retires or Sammy leaves, but he can make a great goalkicking winger too, he is fast, safe, & has improved his defence along with bulking up a bit.

I hope we keep Sammy, but if we don't, we should re-sign Albert Hopoate to replace him as our long term strike centre. We need someone who can cover that spot, & Hoppa would be unpredictable.

If Riley Brown leaves, which would be a huge shame as he is playing very well so far this season, we have an almost carbon copy replacement in Rory Kostjaysn playing PL, might as well keep him. Neither are flash or will be big names, but the role they play in covering Jorbs early on, before coming on as a roving lock later on, is vital to the team balance.

Nate Myles contract must be extended to 2011 ASAP, he is far too good to let go, he is becoming a real enforcer in the pack. As for David Shillington, there is lots of fuss over whether he will stay. I'd love him to stay, but if he can't fit under the cap, Frank-Paul is a ready-made replacement. Only issue with him is getting lazy, so if we have any money left under the cap at that time, we should keep Meredith for one more year just so he can keep Frank-Paul on his toes.

Anthony Tupou is expected to re-sign till 2011. If not, Mickey Paea is one mighty replacement.

So if Amos Roberts leaving means keeping Perrett & Foley, i'm DEFINITELY all for it. We keep our strike centre, along with replacing Amos with a fast but SAFER winger who can kick goals when Fitzy retires. That is VERY important IMO. That should be sorted out immediately after Tupou stays.

Fitzy is giving his all this year because it is his last. He is playing so well because he is playing like there is no tomorrow, throwing himself at the line with any self preservation.

Shaun Foley, Mitchell Pearce, Braith Anasta all kick goals i'm pretty sure. IMO if Roberts goes, as i said, first person we must re-sign is FOLEY, he is a good goalkicker.
