I can also tell you that Braith Anasta this week has signed for Souths.

Souths have managed to sign TWO top line players in their comeback - the MacDougall brothers. the rest they've signed are deadset dropkicks, Anasta included.

It's great hey, especially since St. George will be paying his contract over the next two years. This is what happens when you get rid of a player. Honestly, do you know anything about Rugby League?

Thats actually wrong, Firman had an option for 2005 and the fact is that Saints will not pay a cent for Firman next year because you guys are paying more for him than we were. Beleive it or not. But if it makes you feel better thats ok you can say Saints are paying half his contract. :roll:

According to sources we are paying Firman 150K a year. And quite frankly I wouldn't pay much more for him. Badly injured the last two years and is more an unknown quantity than an established player, particularly given the seriousness of his injuries.

I have no doubt he'll make it back onto the field, but it's his effectivenss once there that we will be waiting to judge!

I found out through an article in the paper that we are paying Firman $150 per year. I would still like it confirmed how much he is getting at St. George if any one actually knows.

Dunno how much he was getting at that fab club, but he's pretty good.

I believe the main reasons he is now with another club is financial constraints at that great club, the form of local junior (Head) [heard of them ... ;-) ] and a degree of injury cloud - two shoulder probs and one broken leg.

Furman was the next big thing (and that great club has sought TNBT @ half for some time) - I was sorry to see him go, would have preferred to have two good 1/2 s fight it out, but we have an open door policy, you know.

Furman could come back to bite us, Riddell probably not in the medium to long term, and Kite was just a blow-in (we spent 2 or 3 years watching him drop balls).

The Queens signed him last year for three years @ 150k per season. You have offered him 450k over three.

You are paying for his whole contract, the Dragqueens aren't paying any of it, that was apparently the deal the clubs made as was in the paper the other day.

I heard that he was at Saints for around 200k per season for 2 years.
