Newtown are not a whore club. Each time a feeder arrangement - which by the way is much less a partnership than your merged scum - has ended, it has been the fault of another club.

Warriors - changed owners. The new owners wanted to keep their reggies in NZ.

Souths - Souths Juniors funded their own team in the Jim Beam Cup with a view to being Souiths PL team (which they are now). As a result the Juniors asked the Seniors to end the Newtown deal. The Juniors had the threat of funding withdrawal hanging over the head of the Juniors.

Cronulla - it was only ever a one year deal and the 2006 deal Cronulla wanted was a big departure from the current deal, one that Newtown could not deal with financially or philisophically.

Next year we will still be known as Newtown Jets. NO NAME CHANGE, NO MERGER.
