you've already made your mind up

forget this?

What's the connection, el D?

I haven't made my mind 100% up of whether Friend is in the wrong.

I'm happy for an investigation to occur and he be proven to not be at fault.

Here is some more information:

"All I was told was that Jake Friend hit her but I've got no further comment," David Morrow said. "I don't know any more because I don't have any more information than that."

It is understood the Roosters players were throwing ice at a group of people before the incident. Witnesses said Friend reacted when he was told to "grow up". Although Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce declined to elaborate on possible sanctions against Friend, it's clear the 19-year-old could face the sack.

I haven't made my mind 100% up of whether Friend is in the wrong. However, based on what I know, I am inclined to believe that Friend did do something wrong.

I'm happy for an investigation to occur and he be proven to not be at fault, but I think it is unlikely.

Here is some more information:

are you unaware of the notion innocent until proven guilty?

how about you let the law decide if friend did something wrong before we ruin a guys career?!

If a woman was assaulted by an NRL player that player should first be able to defend himself. If he's found guilty then action should be taken by the club.

I'm not the law. I am entitled to an opinion. I base my opinion on other stuff besides the media reports on this. I have yet to make my mind up fully, and won't until more information about this incident specifically becomes available.

I'm not forcing my opinion on anyone else, everyone is entitled to their own. But I think it is silly to turn this topic into one about alleged media bias and AFL conspiracies. Equally, I think the NRL has made very little in-roads regarding off-field discipline.

Sadly it won't be a few posters on LU that ruin a guys career. It will be the media, and we have seen before that innocent until proven guilty is an outdated concept.

2GB and the Telegraph are too low rent for me

The Telegraph is definitely low rent I'm with you there. I just find Warren Ryan the most tedious individual to ever sit in front of a microphone. It's hardly surprising he nods off from time to time in the box, his voice has the same effect on me.

Should top class athletes be out on the razz directly after a game? I would have thought from a physiological point of view the body needs recovery time and rehydration time. Alcohol would not be the choice of rehydration liquid for most ahletes! Funny how you never hear of an olympian out on the pish between qualifying rounds?

Like it or not the media are only a reflection of society. They print what the public want.

many of that audience are reflected in the posters here.

He may be a little boring but at least he can give actual insight into the game.

I like the Wok. I think he is the best analyst in Rugby League. Apparently the queen of gossip journalists Phil Rothfield has been running some campaign that the Wok falls asleep. The ABC’s coverage suits me fine. I don’t want the opinions of morons.

Forget how AFL's issues are or are not reported. Try concentrating on the fact that our game continuously has problems and no matter how often they occur and how much bad light is shown on the players, they don't seem to want to do anything about it.

The reporting is not the issue. This whole jealousy thing over the AFL just gets tired...
