AFL is never going to be treated like The NRL in the northen states as im sure its vice versa in the southern states, from what i have heard the Adelaide player who assaulted his girlfriend was in the news all last week down south until the hearing was finished

but this makes national news and the front page of news.com.au

Bock only made news in Adelaide despite pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend

It's amazing how league incidents get top billing on national news shows yet AFL ones tend to stay local. This is despite AFL clowns constantly telling us that their game is the national code.

As reported on Ten (most awkward report in history by the way...), it was Friend, Pearce & some other no namer. Can't remember his name.

well we have journalists admitting their are double standards and we also know that the AFL do dodgy deals with media outlets

I thought you would say it was an AFL/News limited plot to get the origin off the front pages just like you tried to link the AFL and swine flu with your " is the AFL repsonsible for swine flu " thread.

see you on the grassy knoll EL

Guess what dude, this is a RL site and you might just find people who see things from a RL point of view. Strange isn't it.

Sandor Earl was the 3rd one named on 9 News. From their report, the impression I got was he was the punch thrower.

Depending on who was the guilty one, I'd guess the club's punishment will go something like this:

  • Pearce - slap over the wrist, its not his go
  • Friend - $10k fine and suspended for rest of season
  • Earl - sacked without hesitation.
