Despite the dud signing Anasta was.... Ricky can still attract the big names to our club that Henry and Elliot can't.

Anasta, Finch, Monaghan, Harrison, Firman. A very shrewd judge of talent to go along with his pulling power.

I agree with you re dud talent ... but irrespective of that each and every one of those signings were sought after by a number of clubs ... if we had our way we would not have let Finch and Monaghan go. Everyone was raving about Harrison (including people on this forum) at the time and the Bulldogs had no option but to let Anasta go.

Interesting that this thread is on the Raiders forum and not the roosters forum. Are Raiders interested in a NEW coach at their club ???

'Course there's no proof that any "big names" would be attracted to come to Canberra if Stuart were coach.
Regardless of who signed for the Roosters does not mean they went there only because of the coach and would come to Canberra if that coach were here.

Surely playing under the Kangaroos coach is a big draw card? Despite it not exactly materialising, Finch, Monas, Harrison and Anasta all moved to Bondi by taking 'less' money with the chance to furthur their rep careers.

But Walt, Stuart took the Bulldogs Jersey Flegg to a premiership in 2001 ... Gus Gould influence ???

Yeah but Stuart's jersey flegg team played other jersey flegg teams. I'm talking about youngsters in first grade.

Flanagan joined the Roosters in 2004 and guided the club's Jersey Flegg side to an undefeated premiership. In 2005 he coached the Premier League side to a grand final appearance before being appointed as Stuart's assistant for this season.

what the hell is wrong with them?

And what proof do you have that they were not attracted by Stuart.

Anasta was quoted in the press as saying he wanted to be coached under Stuart.
