Doesn't a zero from ten start to the season show that having 84% of your squad as juniors may not be the go?

Instead of persisting with little Johnny sh*tparkfootballer from Maitland just because he grew up in the area, try buying players with actual footy skills.

Adam Schubert's selection is straight out of left field. I would have thought Mickey Paea, Steve Meredith or the unlucky Ben Hannant would have got a shot before him. But meh, ive come to trust Ricky's judgment over the years :). However i hope its not another Gould selection like Graham Appo at halfback ... oh god that was almost as bad a selection as Jason Hudson at 5/8

Good luck Manly, lets hope the Stadium is packed and we see a great game.

I know for a fact that Micky is extremely pissed off at not getting a look in!!

Manly should win with Ricketson and Finch both out. Kennedy is playing as well as I have ever seen him and is starting to emulate the great Bradley Clyde as the best back rower of the modern era.

Manly's problems lie with their halves. Both are average with Witt more average than Monaghan and their kicking game will have a large bearing on the outcome.

Witt had a good game on the weekend. Mona's is gutsy as usual.

Roosters have a slight advantage in the props, but lose out in the back row.

Hope Hill is actually fit.

Tim Mander. [:(]

Witt was quality on the weekend, He is really starting to find his feet an Manly and i think will be a quality player in the future. looks more like a half than 5/8 but still is starting to look the goods. I am not saying he is the best going around, but is starting to hit some form as is probably feeling more "at home each week", he will suprise some people over the rest of the season. I know Parra fans are going to bag him as he left there under strange circumstances, and Tim Smith is a champion in the making, but if you take the emotion out of your view, you will probably see this kid really does have some potential, and is starting to show some strengths.

Roosters by 20.

If Manly play the way they did against Panthers for the first 50 minutes, then its all over. Roosters will not let a 20 point lead slip so easily like the Panthers did.

I think alot of people tipping The Roosters will be shocked at 9:30pm on Friday Night, Because i think Manly are gonna win and quite well.

I couldn't give a rat ass if its played at night, Manly have been playing great football, And i can't see how The Roosters can cope with Manly's awesome back 3 of Menzies, Watmough and BK add to that you have Glen Stewart off the bench, Michael Witt is playing his best ever football, Monagahan has to prove himself for a contract, The Roosters may have Manly in the backs but Manly's forwards are playing so much better at the moment and this is where the game will be won.Roosters seem very lucklaster and seem to lose direction with no Fittler Add to that Brett Finch will also be out.

Manly By 16.

I'm a Parra Fan, And i have bagged out Witt, But last week he really impressed the hell outta me, He played his best game ever, Even better then at Parramatta.

The guy just needed a change of club, He was always talked about highley at Parramatta but just wasn't in Smithy's plans, Lucky for Parramatta we had Tim Smith.

Witt is playing great football, And its great to see for the Manly Club.

Cheers.

Both of which were named in a "team of the week".

Im sure manly will be training under lights and will play better than their last friday night game. I would expect another improvement on their night games, the last 2 have seen some good play by manly.

Witty is a class act and it's no surprise to me that he is playing well now that he's been given a proper chance.

They'll cope with Crocker, Flannery & Fitzgibbon with a bit of help from Tupou, Morley and Cayless. I can't believe you really think they'll totally dominate them.

Isn't Kennedy due for an injury? He's played what, ten games?

Without Finch the halves are the problem. Again.

Manly's back row would have to be near the best in the comp at this stage of the year

leave Kennedy alone , a lot of you thought he wouldnt play 4 games let alone 10

They tried that and came out with George Carmont.

Id rather Crocker, Fitzgibbon and Flannery as a backrow than Manly's to be honest. Im glad Ricketson is out ... at last we'll have a lock who plays like a lock and wont be there at first or second receiver to stifle our attack !! Bloody Ricko is starting to annoy me.

No big loss with Finch out either ... no more kicks straight down the fullback's throat with Soward there ... expect unpredictability ... chips over the top and pinpoint accurate long kicks and bombs ... if anything we'll be stronger. Wing and Soward looked very good in the halves vs the raiders i thought ... Manly will have their work cut out. Im expecting a great game .. cant wait :)

just to touch on the roosters line up IF finch is playing (which i reckon he will) the best option will be soward at 5/8, finch as halfback, wing at hooker and webb, crocker & schubert all going for that 2nd row position...and i think crocker will get it

Forward packs are pretty evenly matched but Roosters have us in the backs. Witt and Monas are looking more confortable with eachother but I'm not sure if Hill is up to it and Stepho is still a bit out of his depth.

Should be a very interesting forward battle.

I think Roosters by 8 (unfortunately)
