Round 1 Vs Bulldogs

Dogs were the 2nd best team today, but that said, a few tries from dropped bombs by Tracey made it look worse, and their defence never folded, so that aren’t that far off the pace

Sloan gets the nod for the right wing and Finau for left wing. Sloan will basically be a "second full back" (while Gutho will basically be a "second #6"). Feagai, Lawson, Buchcanan will start the year in NSW Cup - great performances in the trials and great to see we have depth and competition for spots in all of the back five.

Flanno and Lachie are our halves. Reed, Glover, LKT will play NSW Cup and be pivotal to success we have in this competition during 2025.

The pack we still have some question marks. But I've gone with the maximum experience available here, and both Couchman brothers deserve their spots having bode their time during 2023/2024. Stewart, Egan, Loko-Jnr are all knocking on the door. Klemmer possibly coming onboard (with Frank Molo out the door) will make things interesting. Quietly a little bit more optimistic about our pack after watching both pre-season games - still much work to do in terms of getting on par with those teams who did finish the 8 last year, but the players we do have can do a job for us.

Look forward to watching the left edge combo of Su'a, Val Holmes, Finau - with Gutho chiming in alongside the halves.

Klemmer would just about be the slowest player in the game.
When speed is everything.
Surely a young guy can be let loose and given the opportunity.

Your 17 is pretty spot on though the two changes which I think may be different will be :

- Feagai for Sloan (As much as I don’t rate Feagai he has played well under Flanno and has the runs on the board on the wing.

- Also I think Loko may jag a bench spot infront of R Couchman, just offer's that different variety and size. (If klemmer doesn’t get signed)

Su’a right side, Leilua left side. I’d be leaning towards Tuipolotu instead of Sloan but wouldn’t be blowing up if Sloan starts. Finau surely has the left wing locked up

Sloan was very good supporting Sua and Liddle last year. If he gets a wing spot, I hope Flanno plays him in an adventurous way.
