3 - Richards
2 - Tapau
1 - Woods(16 hitups for 190 meters is a good rate)

agree that Naiqama was quality. wasn't expecting him to go so well particularly in defence.

Gee the ruck slowness Badger allowed the Titans to get away with was noticeable.

Slowest ruck I have seen all weekend

The 6 and 7 are a concern. Were terrible v Mortimer and Sezer.
For whatever reason probably because he is mates with B. Elias, Mayer decided to throw the kitchen sink at Moses and Brooks making them two of our highest paid players before they had even played a first grade game!

From what I have seen Moses is a very average player. Brooks goes OK but having these two chew up a big chunk of our salary cap is not very smart and has now left us without decent backups in the Forwards.

Drinkwater looked composed in the trials and far better than the two that have has been signed to lucrative contracts without really showing much.

I might be in the minority here but I still think Brooks and Moses will end up a great pairing, yes even as good as Foran and Cherry Evans. So much potential there. Persist with them sheesh there will be some ugly days as they find their feet but they are young, the experiences leading up to them maturing into good footy players will hold them in good stead.

I liked how Brooks used cutouts and decoys with Tedesco looming while we were attacking, especially in the second half, each time not actually giving it to to Teddy but it always looked like he was going to. We looked super dangerous on those occasions. Kept the defence in 2 minds. They need to keep working with that and when he does give it to Teddy selectively well hopefully woosh bang try here and there.

And yet couldn't crack first grade at Manly and only played a handful of games in an awful St. George side before going to England?

He (Drinkwater,) did look good in the trials though and will certainly get his chance since Moses looks to be missing at least a fortnight.

I think both Brooks and Moses might turn out really good. I just don't know if they definitely will. I think we have to stick with them now though.

I think Brooks and Drinkwater is a better combination for right now.

There should be a chance to show this now

Drinkwater goes well, and once he gets his 2 or 3 weeks in NRL. he will become Austin II and get snapped up by another club.
Ironically, it will probably be fkkn Manly. I hear they are short of halves . . . .

Very much thought that too, it was nothing on Thursday nights game.

Will only be a matter of time before the refs let it fall back to what we had last year.

Yes it wasn't one of Brooks better games,at times he seemed to be lost or missing when we needed some direction, add some forward passes,a kick out on the full and getting caught with the ball while not realising it was the last added to his woes. However his chase on Gordan was fanastic,in time his experience and confidence will increase as he becomes a better player.

I was at the game, it was rather sloppy but that's acceptable at this stage. As mentioned our use of tedesco was good. I think he and Brooks will only get better. We looked good in the middle with woods, taupau, lodge. Also thought siro was great. Strong and dangerous runs on the edge by siro, which I felt contributed to putting the titans in two minds on that side of the field and thus the three tries down that side.

We looked like a team that has spent the off season on the tackle bags and not touched a ball.Any win is a good win, but after seeing most of the games this weekend we seem to be behind a lot of teams in class.

Anyway very early days, next week will be harder and of course the Rabbits the following week will be a massive test.
