the NRL should instigate a "diehard" card which you have to earn by attending x amount of games of the nominated team with bonuses for sitting thru losses and rainy days .

Until you have met the "diehard" criteria you cannot buy any merchandise from Peter Wynn's , Rebel , etc and heavy fines will be enforced on anyone trying to scalp scarves and beanies to unworthy recipients . The penalty for scalping one of those inflatable fingers will be much worse .
