Round 10 v Warriors @ WIN Wollongong

At last a view from a real person not a bot.
Sure the BOD has a lot to answer for, but the NRL also has a lot to answer for too. If you think it's bad now, wait till we add in the extra 2 teams. The results of all teams are already chaotic this year to the extent that it is getting harder and harder to watch.I only watch Dragons games because I've been a fan for 50 odd years.
On another note must be exciting going to the footy with Im Hornby or King flanno 7 "not".

Hay boys , girls lets not make this a shit fight because our club and the club I once played for is completely F**KED ........ We all want to see the club climb back to the good days , and we are all entitled to our opinions ......... But for us to get back to being a top 4 team we need a crane to lift us there , because its not going to happen with the Boys Club running the joint ..........

I agree...... winning breeds good times amongst players and their supporters....at times we all comment or post statements that everyone dont agree with, thats the democracy that we live in.....some are posted out of pure disappointment, frustration or a different point of view....so please lets not start ripping into each other or start white anting fellow contributors

I didn’t read through the comments during the game but am I alone in thinking the ref and bunker were wearing a Warriors jersey? Several knock ons not called. The blatant professional foul / six again in the first half on their goal line when Gutho? was pulled back down during the play the ball. Next set the Warriors score. The stripping decisions?
Warriors getting away with ruck interference all game but we get pinged with 6 agains. I noted the coach made some comments during the press conference about certain decisions.
Was good to see Loko do well. The young forwards once again were the best on field. Hmmmm.

Anyway, I can’t watch this mob anymore for a while. Such a disappointing start to the season and knowing that they could have won most of these games if not for their f^&*ing stupidity is frying my brain.
As they say I'm out of f$%ks to give.
There will be people here who will blame the coach but I feel sorry for him. If I can’t watch these clowns do the same sh&t every week then I don’t know how he does it. And it’s the “experienced“ players who are making most of the m

So I’m out for a while. Not watching, not caring. Tired of investing time and money into these dipsh&ts. Hopefully they turn it around and prove me wrong but I’m going to start investing my time on weekends on other things. This rabble doesn’t deserve my attention, time or money.

You guys do realize we scored more tries than the opposition right We should have won, once again. Goal kicking was not good enough. Can't blame Flanno. In my opinion, stupid shit on numerous occasions from Luc and Allen lost us that game

Did you see how we played? It was disgusting football again. I don't care if we scored more tries than the opposition, we are actually playing poorly. We played and turned up for 25 minutes last night. You can't expect to do that, play shit for the other 55 minutes and claim you deserve to win. We didn't deserve it, despite what the amount of tries scored say. It was awful football that we played, and that is why we didn't win. Everything else is an excuse.

My assessment watching what has been the craziest round of football in memory is that there is clearly a lot of feeble mentality through a lot of teams, to give up massive leads, to have lapses of concentration and to expect the result to just happen. We definitely are the most consistent at being a mentally weak team. We've lost 3 matches by a single point - sure close games that could have either way - but unfortunately that will certainly be the death of our season. A loss is a loss and I am feeling pretty miserable at the moment, and I am sure the coach is.

There are some bright signs for the future. Not sure I felt this way this time last year but it all still feels pretty upsetting.

This has been the most cogent post so far. The NRL talent pool is pretty shallow and once teams get a few injuries you're finding their spots taken by virtual park footy players. And we're going to get two new teams to dilute the talent pool still further and STILL have an odd number of teams and a bye which is just ugly and amateurish.
The six again rule needs to go. It's dangerous, in terms of injuries endured by defending teams, and too subject to interpretation. Like any rule, smart coaches find a way to exploit it. It seems that we never have, and still don't, have one of those.
The only positive this season has been the emergence of the gun young forwards, who gives me Bath's Babes vibes. But Bath's Babes had a backline stacked with guns like Lord Ted, Finchy, Magoo, McGregor & Shulman. (Chapman, Sorridimi and Butler weren't slouches, either). I personally think that our backline is a disgrace. Gutho has dropped the ball(literally and figuratively) after a great start. The rest just give the impression that they either don't have a clue or don't give a stuff. The game management is as poor as it has ever been since 2011.
We're Cooked for this season. Call it our 1974. But we need more than just Atkinson to change things up in the backline. Signing Cobbo would be a good start and finding some wingers who have not just speed but can catch a high ball 95% of the time.

These narrow losses are gut wrenching but we are building…. young forwards couchmans, Egan, Stewart, now Loko and LKT seems to have great potential.. as hard as it is to say we need to be patient with these players and the coach…. things will improve

I literally got chills when you reminded us of the Baths Babe backline, Lord Ted was magic in 77, Quinn and Finch were rocks, McGregor was a defensive master and little Mark Shuman was mercurial. I needed that memory after last night, thank you.

The two main attributes that that backline had was toughness and their football intelligence, particularly defensive intelligence; including Butler and Chapman. The freakish stuff was usually left to Teddy Goodwin, but the others gave him the platform to do so (not to mention a tough young pack of forwards).

Issue is John , who do we bring in. Glover isn’t lighting up the world in reserve grade. Illias isn’t either .
