Edwards has had feild goal shots before I may have to be an option to divert away from Cleary .Its just to easy to get lots of players at him.i don’t think we are far off the killer is the discipline .look at the set up we need a player who plays the ball fast as the last hit up giving the kicker more time

Thought our discipline was pretty good. We lost a lot when Smith and Leota were off and again because they and Yeo were too tired. Needed more from our bench, and not just the selections, Ivan flogged the starters but the front row rotation didn’t turn up, if Sorro is fit he might be a look in after tonight.

Why don't teams take field goals when they are on offer,for example we had the ball 30 secs out from halftime just take the 1 point and go up 19-12.We are up by 12 with 13 mins to go once again take the 1 point go 13 up and ball back its game over.Lindsay smith is a plodder that dumb penalty for a strip when we had them 10 out from there line changed the game

What's worse is being up by 12 and camping on their line for multiple sets then not only doing nothing with it - but giving away a penalty followed by a try.

The game should have been done by halftime 24-6. Also should have been 36-18 with 10 to go but we are just throwing away chances when well on top.

certainly some positives out of the game, but I miss us not going on with it and playing 80 mins. Had a bit of a laugh at Patyen's press conference complaining about the refs. Drinkwater drops the ball on his own goal line but we get pinged in 1st half, and that gave them some momentum (even though we should have defended it), they scored at least 1 or 2 try's of a couple of blatent forward passes too. The refs are trying to speed up the game, but then they can't keep up and make the consistently right calls. We just have to get back to dominating to take refs howlers out of it some now.

The way I saw the game.
Penrith started well and with all that ball should of been game over by halftime.
Problem is no x factor or speed in the side anymore. It's quite slow. One of the slowest in comp with two halves who aren't particularly fast..Cowboys always looked more dangerous with the ball and if it wasn't for that winger making 6 errors they win easily.

Blaize will improve but need some x factor.
I'd probably be planning for 2026 and if the Mclean boys are part of that then persist with them.
You badly need some x factor. The sides become to workmen like and it isn't a premiership threat

The bench. I don't rate Schneider as much as anyone but if he's there f**king use him!! And pick a real centre build combinations and have garner start second row or off the bench

Disclaimer: Garner is amazing and beautiful this is not a dig at him but Ivan's team balance.

Garner was solid at Centre, but he gets burned by quicker players. Ivan needs some pace out wide and Casey should be the man. No more picking Schneider, it showed last night Ivan has no faith in him as he was not used. Toelau or Cole as 14 is a much safer option.
Kenny is a real good defender, but constantly takes wrong options in attack. 1 point is better than 0 but geez that game was bombed.
Taking the game to 19-12 on the stroke of halftime was the better play, in stead we chip over the top for zilch. Quite a good play, but now over used.

Even with getting burned we are still better off with Garner at centre at this point if we are still trying to make the finals. Once we can't then Casey needs to be back at centre to play out the year
